A YOUNG WORLD AND A CURIOUS MIND
Anubis was born during The Vatiris’ flourishing era. Each century brought more advanced technology as the Vatiris discovered the resources the vast world of Auron had to offer. The magic they all inhabited got less and less convenient as the technology took over.
Anubis had always been fascinated by the magic they all possessed, and spent centuries exploring and experimenting with it as the world around him flew by. Many Vatiris thought of him as old-school for bothering developing his useless magic abilities when the world was filled with such great technology.
His interest in magic made him sort of an outcast in the community, although he didn’t mind much. During his young adulthood Anubis enjoyed learning of their creation and the God who gifted them the ability of magic, Xethos. As well as the goddess Voia and the First ones.
FALSE GODS AND A WAR OF HATRED
As centuries passed, Anubis watched as the Vatiris started praying to their own gods, neglecting Xethos, which was their real creator. Anubis didn’t know however, that this would later lead to a great war.
Vatiris turned on each other as they started punishing the ones who didn’t believe in their false god. The massacres seemed never-ending as hate spread over Auron. Anubis saw a glimmer of hope though as the First one Marcastos one day appeared among them.
To Anubis' horror however, Marcastos started teaching the Vatiris how to build bigger and more deadly weapons. Which in turn increased the slaughter. It got to a point where Anubis had to hide in order to escape the witch hunts.
A NEW CHANCE AT PEACE
Soon the population of Auron had dwindled to under half of its original size. One day Aeterna appeared and got hold of Marcastos, seemingly making him see reason. They desperately urged Vatiris to join them, as they planned on escaping Auron completely.
Anubis was among the Vatiris who fled Auron together with Marcastos. They would ultimately settle in a world called Eastrobis. A vast land filled with new things to explore and discover.
After the Massacre back home, Anubis now has little trust in other Vatiris. Shortly after arriving in Eastrobis, he would leave the group to explore on his own. He wanders among the many biomes and would later settle in a desert area covered in mahogany coloured sand. The warmth from the sun felt nice on his skin as Anubis would continue to hoe his magic abilities among the red sand dunes.
