It had been an eternity since Mikhail last graced the ambiance of a café, a casualty of his notorious ascent to the position of a feared Don. However, today marked a welcome deviation from his routine, a day he had set aside to visit Algernon, a place fervently recommended by his brother. The establishment exuded a tranquil atmosphere, and as he entered the building, he was greeted by the fragrance of freshly roasted coffee beans that seamlessly intertwined with the scent of the delicate flowers that adorned the café's interior. The recommendation from his brother had once again proven spot-on, Mikhail couldn't help but feel a profound sense of gratitude for the opportunity to immerse himself in the serene atmosphere that Algernon offered.

After placing his coffee order, Mikhail couldn't shake the nagging sense of familiarity when he glanced at the young barista. He quickly dismissed it, attributing the feeling to the countless faces he encountered daily, likely mistaking the barista for someone else. As he patiently waited for his brew, he opted for a window-side seat, immersing himself further in the enchanting ambiance of Algernon. The wait proved brief, and the young barista soon approached, serving Mikhail's coffee with a surprising touch. It was evident that the barista had astutely picked up on Mikhail's penchant for sweets. "Ah, thank you," Mikhail expressed his gratitude with a warm smile. "I appreciate it. I'll certainly add a batch of those cookies to my order; I'm certain my wife and niece will love them."

Upon receiving his coffee from the young barista, Mikhail couldn't help but notice a flicker of unrest behind the otherwise kindhearted demeanor of his. Does he know about his identity? The thought crossed his mind, but his brother's adamant endorsement of the café eased such suspicions. While the notion of the barista being an assassin lingered, it seemed implausible given the circumstances. As Mikhail contemplated the situation, a realization dawned on him, sparked by the imposing figures stationed outside the café. "My apologies," he conceded, a tinge of regret in his tone. "I shouldn't have brought my bodyguards. They must've inadvertently scared off the other customers." Rising from his seat, he continued, "I'll instruct them to leave. Please excuse me."
