An avid explorer of the deep blue, brimming with an overflowing desire to traverse the unknown. Their initial shy exterior melts towards any kind soul who displays even an ounce of interest in their hobbies, giving way to a bouncy and talkative persona.
As a sunlight angel with land dwelling capabilities, Lysari sometimes doubles as a sea tour guide and scuba diving instructor. Unfortunately, many of their students meet unfortunate accidents after graduating from their lessons. Nothing links back to them,,,and dead students can't exactly give a bad rating either. It has jumpstarted a third career path as a walking myth and local mystery though.

- lobsters and crabs (ouch, they sure do pinch!)
- geysers and hydrothermal vents (jumpscares them every time)
- ship propellers (once got too close and ouch, that hurt)
Lysari has a case of head in the clouds (or bubbles? in this case?). They're easily distracted or plagued by wanderlust the second eyes are off of them, often eager to snatch a new item for evergrowing collection. It wouldn't be a surprise to spot them challenging the unknown deep or midnight zone either. Head empty x quick to jump to conclusions = a recipe for bad decisions.
The present day Lysari retains no memories of their human past. Although their rebirth in the sea came about many centuries ago, they'd laid in undisturbed hibernation till recent days, where a nameless abyssomata-kin stumbled upon them. With only trickling shafts of light to dispel the shadows, Lysari first awoke inside a sea cavern.
Past
Lysari's past human self is almost the opposite of their present self — conniving and self-serving, a beach local who often scammed others through trading knowledge for money or reselling pickpocketed items for a higher value. Though initially doing so in an effort for money to tend their sickly mother, all was for naught with her passing; with it, they came to discard their guilt and morals. Easy money meant an easy life. Besides, Lysari made sure to put their money to good use.
In due time, however, Lysari crossed paths with a person they were unable to deceive like the others. Said person became one of few to later be labeled a friend by Lysari, a close confidant despite Lysari knowing minimal about this person's own origins. When this friend had vanished during a particularly stormy night, Lysari assumed the worst and resolved to drag them back ashore on their own. Only one would come home that night.
Present
Having only gained consciousness these past few years, Lysari lacks a general direction on how to navigate this supposed new life. Unlike most Abyssomata, their reverance towards the deity of the Trenches is also one of simple gratitude and curiosity, rather than actual worshipping. It leaves them neither actively aiming to convert others to the seas, but also stranded without purpose — incapable of fully appreciating this second chance they'd been blesssed with.

- lysari and friend once made a promise that in discarding their past, they would explore the world to forge a new future together. this wish never came true, but lysari carries on the dream - even if not realizing it in present day
- surprisingly a very adept swimmer, relying on instincts and flexibility for speed
- despite being a lover of arts and crafts, lysari lacks the dextrous hands for it; most of their creations end up deformed
