"The name given to me is Lyra. I am a narrator. There have been quite a few before me, and who knows, maybe there will be be a few after me as well. Narrators are supposed to work within the shadows and write down the stories they observe, to preserve them forever. Then, they can tell them for the rest of eternity, because a good story lasts forever, and so do I. While there are still stories to tell, I'll be there, writing them down, together with my trusty quill Risha.
Narrators like myself aren't supposed to intervene with the tales. A narrator cannot possibly be part of the story, no?
