Lord Ablation is a vey lanky, tall IceWing lord with silver scales and gray eyes. He is severe and serious looking.

Ablation is the tallest in his family and far from the strongest or anything else in that vein. He has been working all his life to elevate his rank and is driven, ambitious, but sharp and unkind.

Ablation is an outwardly very harsh and sharp dragon and is rude and dismissive. He is brash and does not sweeten his words. He is disciplined, and has been trained to follow the manners and rules of conduct of the court to the letter, and is rigid and unbending in his insistence on them, much like with many things.

Ablation is incredibly driven and desires power- he thinks. In all reality, all he wants is genuine connection and he thinks that the higher he claws up in the ranks the more dragons will care for him. He is singleminded in the pursuit of his goals, and does not believe in indulgences and deviations.

He has incredible poise, and is very polite on paper. He has a lot of self control and regulates his mind and thoughts to the best of his ability. He craves closeness and love and he struggles to properly express and communicate his emotions.

Ablation’s goal for his whole life has been to attain the highest degree of power available to him. He once entertained the idea of marrying into the royal family but decided against it. He was heavily encouraged to try for power by his parents, his father Seal especially. He had very few interpersonal connections, but now one of his motivations is definitely the betterment of life for his girlfriend and adoptive daughter. 

Ablation is harsh and unkind and incredibly emotionally constipated. He is terrified of losing power and going back to face his parents.

Preferences and Habits

Hobbies

Ablation has few hobbies. He does a lot of research on the events of the Court to better perform his role as a lord, and can often be found researching when he does not know something about something. He does own a few scrolls of his own, carefully preserved instruction manuals in the case he should forget how to use things. He likes swimming and fishing.

Living space

His room is clean and orderly, with everything having its own place. He makes his bed perfectly and he has very few belongings and next to nothing that isn’t essential. He keeps every gift he’s ever gotten, including meticulously cleaned cartons of blueberries. He doesn’t believe  that he should have extraneous things, but if it was given to him as a gift that circumvents the rule and he can have things.

Cooking and food

 Ablation is a capable chef. As the eldest, he often took on added responsibilities at the urging of his parents, and was often made to cook. He is best with seafood related dishes as it is what was most plentifully available in his childhood, and when he does cook it is with complete reliance on the recipe. He never makes substitutions or alters the recipe in any way, rigid and unbending on his insistence on following the rules.

His favorite food is crab and he quite possibly will never get sick of it, as he still loves it after the crab incident. He has a preference for savory foods and doesn’t particularly enjoy sweets but his girlfriend does and he is trying to learn how to bake.

 Weather

The snow is Ablation’s preferred weather. It shines his scales and makes him feel nice. The cold is his favorite environment to be in, followed by underwater. The desert was awful for him and he almost lost all function while the delegation trip was there. He dislikes rain.

Vices

Ablation enjoys sleeping. He must behave with proper respect and decorum every moment he is awake, and as such sleep is a desperate respite for him.

Ablation was born in a single clutch of one, in a 7th circle IceWing fishing village. When he was 2, his siblings Squall, Luster and Tempête were hatched and he took on much of the responsibilities of their care. Throughout the time, he was in schooling. Seal, his father, allowed him to swim in the ocean at 1, a year early because he believed he was strong enough. Ablation fished from that point onwards in life. When he was 4, his siblings Muskeg, Chamois and Puffin hatched. At the age of 8, he left for University and graduated into the IceWing court.

His early years of court life were in the opulence of the Ice Palace, and he learned perfect manners and the art of stilted elegance. He thought there was much frivolity there, but he far preferred it to their village home.

He was invited into the NightWing Court for his diligence and merit as a Lord. In his start there, he was not well liked, as he was miserable with the temperature and stuck up. He made enemies far, far faster than friends, but has gradually grown more mature and capable.

Ablation is a sleek dragon, with large claws and a very long tail and muscular wings. His eyes are hooded and a strange, unsettling gray, and he’s pure white with a darker grey, silvery back. He has more spines than normal, and his eyes are sharp and knowing. His scales are very shiny, and radiate cold that often condensates on his scales like a cold glass does on a hot day. He has a sour face and is very expressive, with an almost permanently wrinkled nose. He is extremely tall and very lanky, with a long, delicate neck like a swan's.

His mindscape is an icy, unwelcoming place. When trying to dissuade mind readers, he keeps an image of melting icicles in his thoughts.

Physical Ability & Energy

Ablation can fly very far distances and swim swiftly underwater, as well as hold his breath for up to 15 minutes. He is considerably strong, as the IceWing method of fishing is to grapple with large fish and drag them out from under the ice, but in the grand scheme of things, he is very weak and flimsy. He is easily injured and too prideful to accept help. He is tall and intimidating, but his ability (and will- fighting is hardly proper) to fight is lacking.

Fashion Sense

Ablation is minimalistic. He wears a gold ranking necklace that displays him as a first circle IceWing and pale pink pearl stud earrings that Nanami gave him as a gift daily without fail, and rarely adds anything else. When called to dress up he prefers small, tasteful additions. He thinks that big fancy outfits are garish and tacky.
