Personality Changes: Haitao is Li Wan’s way of giving in to who he ‘should’ be instead of hiding it and being who everyone ‘wants’ him to be. He allows Li Wan to act as aggressively/violently he feels without care/fear of blowback and/or consequences.

General Changes:

Haitao’s voice has an echo/double distortion where it’s like there are two of him and one is speaking in rounds after the first. The echo/double voice is quieter but sounds more enraged than the regular voice. The environment has no bearing on the echo/double.
Haitao being ‘dead’ actually has an effect on his physicality. He does bleed, bruise, etc. and there is pain and discomfort attached to it. The problem is his blood is ice cold (his skin isn’t, surprisingly!) and once it’s outside of his body it only stays visible for a few minutes before it starts becoming transparent. Almost as if he's telling his opponent they're fighting a ghost and being hit by someone who isn’t alive - you shouldn’t hold grudges against the ‘dead’, you know?
Haitao being ‘born’ from rage and Li Wan’s quiet loathing for the things that went wrong in his life make this mask present the worst of him. It draws back on a time where violence/anger was all he had and as a result Haitao is unable to distinguish one person from the next. He is indiscriminate and will attack anything in his vision.
Haitao can’t sleep naturally so the only way for him to rest when Masked - if there was ever a need - would be to exhaust himself. The perception he has of this is skewed because where he could just try running around or gym type activities, he is bound by the rage/loathing he originates from and so it would be fighting someone until he’s knocked unconscious. It would have to be a fight without the use of moves to work and as there’s no point in that (using his moveset would be quicker without making him sleep and separate him and Li Wan simultaneously where he could) so the information only irritates him.

TRIVIA

Li Wan liked holding hands, hugging, cheek kisses and the like. This was true for platonic relationships and romantic ones, but he was only okay with expressing physical affection with people that have a special place in his heart/life nowadays. In the past he was very open about it and wouldn’t hesitate unless someone was uncomfortable with it. He’s withdrawn into himself so much he doesn’t like touching anyone because it reminds him of how happy he was.
People find Li Wan to be uninterested/indifferent when speaking to him. This stems from a belief he isn't listening/attentive to the conversation because he'll remain silent for a while after something is said even with eye contact. He processes things fairly quickly but he's extremely concious of how he tends to be 'too' blunt or forward. He takes a moment to try out wording internally before speaking as a result but he forgets that his unwavering gaze can seem judgemental/callous.
Status and the preception of others was a very integral component in Li Wan's upbringing as his family had high values for generations and expected the him to uphold those values just as his ascendants. Li Wan had professional training and gained a high level of skill in the following chinese arts because of this; Shufa (Calligraphy), Erhu (Musical Instrument), Qilin (Lion Dance form), Taijiquan (Tai Chi), and Qigong (Intentional Breathing in essence).
The general rule of thumb is that all the prestige/power comes from the sons. As a Patriarchy, men in his family have more of both. Li Wan's father was the previous head of clan and he was just shy of military tyranism in keeping his family in line and on top. Li Wan being his eldest son meant he would be in charge of the family (best case) and so Li Wan was subjected to a LOT of expectational pressure, strong-arming, and unwanted education. The reason Li Wan is so despised is because everyone within the clan (the women and duaghters included) are exceptional Xiangqi (chinese checkers) players and Li Wan can't win against any of them. He's expected to be the best at everything and couldn't even preform at the average level of 'common' families... In spite of the aforementioned 'failure/shortcoming' he still made head of clan and is a capable leader.

Appears 'aggressive' and presents himself in a manner that isn't very welcoming normally. Hard to read visually because of his resting bitch face which makes him seem constantly angry on top of his main visual indicator (eyes/eyebrows) being obscured by his hair on most occasions.
Li Wan has a tendency to maintain strong eye contact even when his eyes/the other person's eyes are otherwise obscured. It's a cross between a glare and a soul search. It isn't intentionally intimidating, it's how he was raised and he never broke the habit.
Tends to put people off unintentionally with his demeanor. He has an air of 'power' that can be read as dangerous and he moves with a confident but quiet grace that makes others wary of him/what he can do.

DESIGN NOTES:

Not the bright smile type; he'll have a small one, a quirk of his lip, or a smirk at most. Li Wan will 'force' it away if he notices or if someone brings it up.
Li Wan multiple piercings (see his main reference here) but none of them are required. If his tattoo's (main reference here) would be visible in the piece they are required, they're important to his character and non-removable as well.
Outfits can be mixed and matched within the specification of the form he's in. Li Wan's outfits can't be used for his Haitao transformation and vice versa. His standard outfits can be found here. On alternative outfits; I would love to see others dress him up! No objections as long as it stays within his general style/butterfly motif.
His hair is extremely long; maybe 2-3 inches above his ankles when he stand at full height. His hair isn't so much white as it is an extremely light/pale blue. Think ivory with a blue tint. Alternative hairstyles; go wild! As long as it fits his personality and stays within the general length overall you're winning! Please don't give him shorter haircuts/styles without asking first!
Li Wan has freckles (all over) and very full 'feminine' eyelashes. His eyes have a blue/sky blue gradient though playing around/picking one or the other is perfecly fine.
Has near perfect posture. You will rarely, if ever see/catch him slouching not even when he believes himself completely alone. Etiquette, Presentation, Manners were all but beat into him.
Simplifying tight/complex details on clothing, hair, etc is absolutely ok! For his tattoos as well - they don't need to be exact replicas as long as you put effort in them.
[In regards to Haitao and that transformation; Haitao's details are set in stone. No changes in hair, clothing, colors, etc. Simplifing details will always be okay, but changing/removing/adding anything to the original won't be.]
