humanoid arachnid

somewhere in west virginia [not our west virginia >:0], roams rumors of a spider-like humanoid, which they call "the humanoid arachnid", and sometimes "the spiderman"

it all started when… we don’t know. we have no idea what this being is. very recent in sighting, most assume this is a newly discovered cryptid. it seems like it does anything to remain completely unknown, never sticking around long enough in human sight. found in the forests, known for gliding around and having the ability to generate big web threads too.

and wait??? is that mothman??? perhaps a nemesis you can say >:) [i'm sorry] conspiracists were crazy on this. there’s been some people witnessing that this being is often find around with other creatures, possibly other cryptids??? and wait, is it fighting them?? yet, it is still a mystery, and most witnesses and evidence are deemed as unreliable. but people at first found the creature as a more hostile being because of this.

however, public opinions about the spiderman is slowly starting to change, from monster to local hero. like how in recent times, the firefighters managed to stop a forest fire with help from the spider man,yet the creature ran away before they can even thank it. and it's said they often save civillians/tourists from danger in the forest [cliffs, drowning, etc]. slowly, sightings of this very creature are occuring on the town as well, mostly witnessed by criminals wrapped in giant webs. they say that this creature often fights by dragging objects and setting traps with their webs and whatever's around them, while trying to hide from their sight. witnesses don't hear this creature speak, tho they seen it sometimes leave very short messages in their webs [kinda like charlotte's web!].
