Al

Personality:

A laid back social man who knows a bit too much about everyones business. He is skilled in what he does and is very loyal, he would rather die than rat someone out and was very trusted in his family.He's seen as "chill" and approachable, able to socialize with just about anyone. He is also humble due to his difficult beginnings. Despite what he does, Al does have a moral compass.

 

Early childhood:

After his parents moved from Italy, they settled in a small neighborhood in New York which was predominantly Italian. Al was born not long after and raised in a small apartment; the family had very little to go by. With all the hardships, Al's father chose to return back to Italy to his family, leaving behind Al with his mother who chose to remain in America. He does not remember much of his father as he was very little. Al grew up poor with very little to go by, his mother working small jobs here and there to try to make ends meet, leaving Al alone for most of the day. Despite that, they had a close relationship where Al would describe her as loving and hardworking. When he was still a child, his mother fell ill, leaving her bedridden. Their community tried to help them out by offering food, care, but they had very little to share. From there on, Al stepped up and started to take little shady street jobs to earn a little cash to help his mother out with medication and food without her knowledge. He did jobs such as staking out, petty theft, delivering drugs and making small cuts from it. His mother passed away not long after, leaving him an orphan.

 

The Found Family:

Al kept doing little shady jobs in his neighborhood and surrounding areas until he was a teenager. During one of his reoccuring jobs, a regular client states that he's been observing him around and offers Al the opportunity to join their "family". He's told he'll vouch for him and get him made and he'll earn more than he ever will with his little jobs. He agrees and starts off as an associate, doing jobs for the man and remiting a share of the earning, after a while he undergoes the induction ceremony to become a made man. He's taken to a house, where the capo, the sponser, and other members gather. He's takes the oath of omertà (code of silence),his finger is pricked and the blood drips onto a card with the picture of St Francis of Assisi, the card is set in his hands and set on fire, burning as he swears the oath of loyalty: "As burns this saint, so will burn my soul. I enter alive and I will have to get out dead."

 

At a point, Al was ordered to "wack" on a member of a different family. Al had never killed before, but he obeyed his orders and carried on with it. He managed to get it done without raising suspicion, evidence, or leaving a mess, which got him more recognition in his family. Overtime, Al was made the typical member to get such orders, his "specialty". He gets promoted to capo and impresses the don with his loyalty and work, becoming more trusted. Al often worked alongside "Mark", another member who typically handeled finances and off-hand indirect dirty work. They both rose the ranks together.

At a very late point, the don gets murdered by an unknown person. Mark takes over as the don. Mark then frames Al and rats on him to the law, resulting in him getting arrested and imprisoned for 4 years. This completely ruined Als reputation in the scene as he is now associated by the law and is untrusted. While he was imprisoned his club failed due to cops seizing it for inspection, leaving it as a unsafe place for people of his caliber to go to. Upon his release, Al had to lay low for a while as he was being actively persued by men sent by mark, to send a warning or even take it further. This was the end of Als career in the mafia.

 

Current:

Al is now a self-employed "hitman" for any individual who requsts his services for a good sum. These services are only known by people in the same scene as him, typically members of groups or sydnicates. He does not publisize his job, it is known by those who knew him by his old reputation or familiars. He makes good money from his work. He is often seen in bars chatting people up, socializing and drinking.

 

Facts:

- He got the nickname "Al" from one of his jobs

- He speaks fluent Italian

- The Don was the only other person apart from his mother(and older community) to call him Alberto

- He does not kill women or children but leaves no witnesses
