Thistletail

Thistlekit was born with his sister, Bristlekit, to Desertflower and Staticpeak. Thistlekit instinctually would cuddle up with his sister, able to see her as a comforting presence even before he could smell, hear, or open his eyes.

A moon later, a rabid fox attack startled the clan and left a permanent impression on Thistlekit; danger lurks at every corner. His older brother, Unrulystorm, protected the Clan from the fox at the cost of his mobility. Thistlekit forever looked up to his brother for this act of bravery.

It became steadily apparent that Thistlekit was a natural follower. He chased after his sister when she bounded off into the unknown and, often times more than not, ended up swearing secrecy to their hatebrained adventures.

When he was apprenticed, Thistlekit was renamed to Thistlepaw and given the mentor Aspenshade; a large tom that easily dwarfed Thistlepaw's small frame. The two of them developed a mutual trust through their time together training and Thistlepaw proved to be an excellent and quick learner. It became apparent that he had an excellent memory and mastered tasks at an impressive rate compared to the other apprentices.

Thistlepaw never bragged about his progress, however. He followed Aspenshade's example of humility by never boasting and always offering to train with the other apprentices, even if he was above their level.

It was a surprise to both Thistlepaw and the clan when he successfully passed all assessments and was given his warrior ceremony at 16 moons. He mourned the missed opportunity to experience his warrior ceremony with his sister.
