Auti is a Plantima Fox from earth. She lives with her brother in a small village of other Plantima. As is custom, their parents moved out when both her and her brother were rather young. Auti coped with this (seemingly) well, but became rather over-positive as a result. In her village, she forages with her brother, makes art, fishes, and tends to gardens. She enjoys keeping herself busy in her community.

Auti's got a ton of energy and a can-do attitude! She tries to befriend everyone she meets, but this leaves her friendships sometimes feeling a bit hollow. She bounces around and tries as many different hobbies as she can, but usually ends up with a mess and unfinished projects. Shes alright with that though, the fun was trying it in the first place!

With Minx's crash, she had to face the idea that she *wasnt* Rye's best friend anymore. And that maybe, she was never being the sister he needed. For the first time, she was hostile. She lashed out, but in a passive aggressive way, until it came to a head and she fought with Rye. She eventually learns that her over-positive nature wasnt letting Rye feel his emotions, or feel supported at all.
Design Notes
Auti has mismatched paws! Her right paw has red fingers with a long orange glove, and her left paw has a yellow hand and an orange wrist.
Auti has 3 fingers + 1 thumb on her hand paws, and 4 toes on her feet paws.
Auti adds patches and decals to her own clothes.
Combat
Auti has never had to fight, and is not very good at it. Shes clumsy, slow, and reluctant to hit hard.
Auti loves and misses both of her parents, but has conflicted feelings of how they left. She knows that its a custom in their culture, but others have been starting to refuse to leave. So, why didn't her parents? Why didn't they fight against that norm?
Auti loves her brother more than anything else in the world. She's spent her life taking care of him as best as she can, and all she wants is to see him happy and healthy. They've had their rough patches, but they've always come back stronger.
Auti gets along with Felix exceptionally well! She loves showing off her culture with him, and loves in turn learning about his. Felix is a good listener, and she trusts him with Rye more than she ever trusts Minx with him.
Auti was distrustful of Minx when she arrived. Her negative energy is the complete opposite of her own positive light. Auti finds Rye and Minx's friendship to be hurtful, as it seems to her that Rye would rather connect with some rude stranger than his own sister, who has been nothing but kind to him. Minx finds Auti's positivity to be overbearing and sees through its fake-ness. They eventually handle these issues and come to respect each other once Auti sees that her positivity was actually pretty toxic, but they won't ever be besties.
Ivy is... rude, abrasive, and toxic. Auti hates her, but she tries to be as nice as she can despite it all. Until she pushes Felix too far and she loses all respect for her.

Despite almost being around as long as Rye has been, Auti has never had a proper ref sheet made. While Rye on the other paw... got like 3 different ones. I swear I don't have favorites!
Auti's design has had the least changes out of all of my characters. Her pattern has pretty much stayed the same, though instead the blocks of warm colours have been blended out.
The 3d model of hers I made, I used to stream with on twitch! I still need to update it, its outdated...
Both Auti and Rye were originally drawn as feral characters only. As their story grew, it felt better and made more sense for them to be anthro.
Auti is the embodiment of my adhd and positivity! She's meant to represent the times when I took being positive too far, and how I grew from that.
