Some might consider Natalia a deity, but whether or not she is an actual goddess is debatable. It’s true that she has an impressive and weirdly situational skillset of flirting abilities, but other than her strangely powerful charm, she seems to be just a regular viscet.
From a surface-level point of view, she definitely comes off as someone who falls in love at first sight, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. She’s learned how to use everything she has to her advantage, whether that be information, status, circumstance, and often other people who she has practically completely under her control. Many have fallen prey to the idea that Natalia is legitimately interested in them, but every act of love and affection is always a ruse. It’s not known if she has ever truly felt something for someone she knew, but from the way she acts, you wouldn’t think she had.
Natalia is a phenomenal actor, able to put on a variety of faces and personas to suit her situation, whatever that might be. She can easily slip into the role of a seductive temptress, using her beauty and her wiles to manipulate others into giving her what she wants. She also carries with her an unnerving aura that no one is really quite sure how to place, but that’s easily overridden by people who become smitten with her.
She never stays in one particular role for too long, however, making it difficult to know what her true self is. One of her favorites, however, is the role of the “damsel in distress”, a classic part that works almost every time without fail. She finds it amusing how easy it is for her to convince others to do what she wants and will always have her foot in one mess or another if not just for the drama and havoc she can wreak.
Because she’s always searching for something bigger and better, Natalia cannot stand stagnation and is constantly on the lookout for anything that might interest her. Money, power, fame, and recognition— all are huge drivers for her actions and behavior. She has big goals, to say the least, and is willing to go far to achieve them. She desires high societal status as proof that she is unique, important, and superior to everyone below her.
At some point during her search for power, she stumbles upon a legend of a magical artifact called Morning’s Breath. It’s said to have the power to grant the user whatever they desire, but despite its notoriously bloody history for being the downfall of many kingdoms and countries in the past, she wants it and there isn’t a single person who can get in her way.
Well… almost.
One day, Natalia ends up catching the eye of one of the gods, specifically the god of the sky, Elowyn. It doesn’t take her long to realize what a golden opportunity it is and how she can use his infatuation to her full advantage. Unfortunately for Elowyn, he doesn’t realize her true intentions, which are to find what the gods did with the Morning’s Breath and take it for her own.
As she gets closer to Elowyn, though, she finds out that Morning’s Breath is no longer an inanimate object but is a walking, talking person that also happens to be very attached to Natalia’s god. This completely throws her plans for a loop, but when she finds out that the core of this mechanical viscet Idris is what she is looking for, she redoubles her efforts into figuring out how to separate it from the body.
What she didn’t expect was the fact that she severely underestimated Elowyn’s affection for Idris, and it isn’t long before he grows suspicious of her. But by the time he starts to think that maybe there’s some sort of magic at play, it’s too late. At some point, Natalia and Idris are left alone together, and even though Natalia had been planning to learn more about the entity and the power inside it, greed overcomes her and she attacks.
Somewhere in the tussle, Idris, not trained in any kind of physical fighting, was overpowered and Natalia managed to destroy part of her body, take Morning’s Breath, and leave Idris lifeless on the ground.
