Amane is most certainly among the less friendly of yōkai, being one to actively enjoy devouring human souls to maintain and increase his power.
Amane is very vain and narcassistic, he puts himself above others and is willing to do near anything to gain power over others or wrap them around his finger. He commonly resides on a shrine he claims he built for himself in a shallow woods nearby a small valley city, where he presents himself as a small deity willing to grant prayers and wishes to anyone who presents him with an offering of at least modest quality.
He decieves and manipulates those who come to him to answer their prayers; he grants them what they're after (within his power) for a time, allowing them to pique their happiness, relief or the like before taking everything away to sink them into the pits of dispair - if their dispair isn't strong enough (or he's not satisfied with his current offerings) he will convince them of the prayer's undoing being by fault of theur own or the work of another spirit or a curse and graciously offer to regrant their wish if only they made him another, usually larger offering. He will continue this until either they no longer have anything to give or he finds their misery sufficient, at which point he will devour their soul.
However, he hates the kerria flower and as such it is sufficient to drive him away or disinterest him in a particular person if they were to carry it with them. The actual reason he avoids the kerria so much is unknown, but it is rumored that long ago in that past, he had once been a human and those flowers remind him of a past lover. He firmly stands that this is not true, if asked.

𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧
Amane is a shapeshifiter, he rarely shows his true form to any being other than fellow Yōkai. He appears to others in their own likeniess [i.e. Species] majoritly for purposes of making himself more familiar to them and gaining their trust more easiliy.
ᴅᴇsɪɢɴ [sʜᴀᴘᴇsʜɪғᴛɪɴɢ]
Amane can shapechange into nearly any other species, sans the divine. However, he conforms to certain rules when he is transformed.
The maximum extent to which he can change his fur colour is to have his markings appear white instead of their true colour, with the exception of his central chest marking, which he cannot hide. His horns are hidden when he transforms into a non-horned creature. Generally his ears and tail look similar, though they may be shorter/longer or more/less fluffy.
ᴅᴇsɪɢɴ ɴᴏᴛᴇs
- The only accessory he can be drawn without is the collar.
- I dont mind if his seals don't say " 封 ", but i prefer it.
- His stripes dont have to be exact, but I'd rather they be as close as possible.
- His claws are small and coloured with the darkest gray colour, they're usually retracted.
- He can be drawn without the fur flaps on his arms, but i highly prefer them to be there.

Amane lothes Shin, who constantly seems to make it his mission to get in his way and try and stop him, Amane is stil in the process of trying to get them to switch to his side mostly for power reasons.
Yᴜᴍᴀᴋᴜɪ 夢喰い
Yumakui is someone Amane is comfortable co-existing with, given they don't interfere with eachother, on occassion Amane is even seen sharing his offerings, surprisingly.

Amane isn't one to trust others, he cares for only so long as someone is useful to him, or so he tells himself. If he were to come to truly care for someone, he'd be the possessive type. He drives away anyone or anything he deems unworthy of being within his vacinity or territory.
