A second gen immigrant from Japan, Ichiro grew up in the rolling hills of California amongst a large family of agriculturists. How exactly he managed to make his way cross country to New York is unknown, but armed with a silver tongue and wit of a fox proved itself auspicious. Hopping from jobs was a lot of work with little pay, but by staying humble and working smarter (not harder) Ichiro was eventually able to open his own business, a sushi restaurant by the name Tobiuo, a few years into the American Sushi Craze. Though quite stagnant in the beginning his efforts would prove themselves rewarding with time, as by 1923 Ichiro's restaurant had become wildly successful.
It was no easy ride especially with the prohibition act freshly placed, but people craved the exotic and with the right amount of charisma came the cash. With a family background in wine culture he was exposed to brewing and the chemistry behind fermentation at a young age, and when prohibition rolled around Ichiro was able to start a speakeasy as an extension to his pre existing restaurant, but not without the connections to the right people (albeit shady). To keep himself and his family somewhat safer, he birthed the persona Mr. Imojiro as to make sure his relatives back in California would stay out of the mix while still receiving financial support.
Addicted to the rush and high of watching his own creation blossom, it wouldn't be until a certain young woman worked her way under his skin that Ichiro began to re evaluate his entire operation. Everything he had worked to hard to achieve would soon be threatened the deeper he dug his grave amongst rum runners and moonshiners, most of which threatened to expose him UNLESS he distributed his product.
Ichiro is naturally...slippery...as his business competitors would put it. He is very comfortable when it comes to lying or mooching in order to get the odds to play in his favor. You could cut yourself on his wit alone, and his intoxicating charisma pairs dangerously well with his conversationalist personality. Ichiro is very cunning and calculated rarely ever freezing or clamming up under stressful situations, unless they prove themselves to be particularly physically taxing. He is by no means an athlete and makes this very well known, but despite his physical shortcomings Ichiro is extremely intelligent when it comes to interpersonal business relations. When confronted with something he doesn't particularly want to do, he is prone to whining and complaining depending on the crowd and wether or not he chooses to remain poised (or just mope about it in silence.) Ichiro also tends to enjoy the libertine lifestyle and fast paced nightlife scenes, though he favors quality time with small groups in quieter settings where he can get to know his colleagues on a much more personal level.
As conniving as he can be, Ichiro has some (VERY FEW he adamantly protests) well hidden weak spots. A man of his caliber is often misunderstood or told he overlooks the bigger picture which makes him hard to work with at times. He is very ambitious and is teeming with new ideas and possibilities he can be overly eager to share, and this either tends to irritate or intimidate those on the receiving end of his spiels. He likes to appeal to people, putting his wit and charm up front and center to leave as much of a good impression as he can, but with some poking and prodding from the right people his facade slips much to his embarrassment.
- On the slimmer side, somewhat fit but physically not very strong
- VERY well put together, big fan of three piece suits, suspenders if more casual

- Can play the fiddle! A hobby he practices on the DL
- Forgets to eat on occasion due to outside distraction and work, especially under stress, but will never pass up a belt of liquor even if it's on an empty stomach
- Favorite fish are pufferfish, they always fascinated him as a kid
