Eric Astra has never been a kind man. He spends his time working, drinking, marketing, anything he can do to feel productive or numb the stress. Money has never made him or his family happy, but it will. He'll find a way.

Eric was handed the reins to his father's manufacturing company, Orbit, in his early 20s. He made a risky investment into a new technology, miniaturizing portal tech from the size of a computer to the size of a cellphone or wristwatch. The company grew exponentially allowing further investment and multiverse-wide fame.
Eric married Emma at 29, the couple split when Emma found more success running a magazine than at his side. She left him with his sons, taking their daughter with her. Eric grew to loathe his youngest son, he reminded him too much of Emma and his own failures. Orbit had been dealing in various illegal projects for years, it only took Axel tipping off the government to bring Eric and a few other ringleaders down. He'll be in prison for a long time.
