Dismay Duskky is a duplicate created from an unwavering sense of despair and frustration combined. In their “tame” form, they are a very small Duskky, measuring several inches shorter than Duskky himself. They are weak and vulnerable, and have little control over their power. Because of their incredibly fearful disposition, they often avoid populated areas, let alone any kind of interaction in general.
Their powers are quite strange. Their horns contain a small dosage of a highly potent healing magic, that can be used to cure a wide variety of physical wounds when applied to the injury site. The horns can be broken off to obtain the serum, and will regenerate within a matter of about a day. Unfortunately, due to their determination to avoid people, this power is never truly used.
Their other, more distinct power, includes the ability to transform into a monstrously large creature. This form is often triggered unwillingly if they are enraged, trapped, or put in any unpleasant situation. They lose control of themself and become highly dangerous with the potential to strike at anything that breathes. Recovering from such an event often takes the poor Duplicate several days, furthering their desire to stay away from people. When in this form, Duskky himself is the only one who can get through to them.
The first (known) existence of a Duplicate Duskky-made subrealm in the Lucid was made by Dismay. Nobody is quite sure what emotion this location is supposed to portray, but any survivor's claim it's Dismay's internalized fears.
- Sometimes Dismay has to adjust the needles on his back because they move out of place, and it's a very delicate process for him because removing all of them can just kill him
- The tips of the needles only ever actually glow red when they're in his body, otherwise they're solid black
