Though his frivolous behavior and energetic demeanor give the impression that Cygnus is a flippant partygoer and little else, their moments of kindness and unexpected insight suggest that there's more to him than meets the eye—or perhaps, more to him than he's willing to show. Though rare to anger, attempts to inquire into his past are unfailingly met with surprising coldness.
They never pulls back their bangs, leaving their left eye hidden. Questions about it get lightheartedly brushed aside—but brushed aside just the same.
Past
Cygnus was formerly the heir to the throne of the astral realm, though followed by rumors that he may've been the result of an affair by his mother, and thus illegitimate. Those rumors would later become the source of a conflict over succession with his younger brother, Corvus—and with factions soon forming around each of the two brothers, all signs pointed to a war of succession.
Though the exact circumstances are unknown, these tensions reached a boiling point one day—and Cygnus promptly handed the throne to his brother and entered a voluntary exile at Corvus's request. This swift surrender led to many of Corvus's supporters labelling them a coward, and with his reasoning unclear to even his supporters, many of them began to share that sentiment.
Present
Now exiled from the astral realm, Cygnus travels freely around the earth, frequenting parties and festivals whenever the opportunity arises, seemingly without a care. Allowed a share of their family's wealth, he's able to live quite comfortably, and his cheerful, lively disposition tends to make him a popular sort wherever he wanders.
