About

Enco (formally, and formerly, known as Serial Designation Epsilon) was once a part of Protodrones, a line of Disassembly Drone models with different builds and statistics made exclusively for Research & Development. For Epsilon, he was created to test power output, sheer force in short. For that, he was engineered with a larger body and intimidating approach in mind, one which would tower over humans as well. However, with a faulty code, this Epsilon has developed pacifistic outlook, which severely halted his productivity.

Such is his past - after being sent to a suicide mission to exterminate a far-away colony which resulted in meeting a certain female Drone on an orbiting space station, he became lost in a time loop, stuck and stranded in a dream-like dimension.

Personality

Friendly Reserved

Polite Blunt

Clever Foolish

Sensitive Tough

Brave Timid

Careful Reckless

Sincere Deceptive

Diligent Lazy

Calm Irritable

Humorous Serious

After spending Lord knows how long in that time loop, probably decades, Enco became a very quiet and reserved individual. He keeps it to himself, in fact, you barely won't hear him speak, either he doesn't find it necessary, or his speech modules are damaged from long time of being neglected - both are quite probable. However, Enco's values in protecting loved ones stand firm, as the promise to fulfil Monica's request fuels him to stay goal-driven and accomplish his duty, even if it means he must go through countless deaths.

Likes

Reading

A habit he picked up from Monica, he prefers philosophical fiction.

Flowers

He used to detest those, but as he watched Monica take care of them at the Space Station's garden, his attitude gradually changed.

Dislikes

Sweets

Never could handle the taste of sugar, especially now.

Loud individuals

He will try his best to tolerate, but his patience isn't limited.

Extra

Lacking something important

Due to his Protodrone nature, he was created without regenerative abilities in mind. Thus, he has to be careful when receiving some sort of damage. While some sort of regeneration is present, it is not fully functional, and significant damage leaves scar-like marks on his body. (Are those actual scars? No idea, it's up to the reader lol)

Lacking something important II

Enco is missing a huge portion of the tail, as well as the nanite tank. Right before evacuating from the Space Station and becoming stuck in a time loop, Enco fought Archangel after witnessing her destroy Monica. He did not win the battle, running away with a torn tail.

The Counter

Upon entering an underground facility, which became the central (and starting) point of the time loop, a device was attached to his body unbeknownst to him - some sort of a tracking/counting device. As Enco tries to progress further to his goal, he realised that the device counts how many times he died within the loop.

Not really immortality

Each time Enco dies within the time loop, instead of meeting his demise altogether, he is thrown back to the start, forced to restart his progress. However, such trait comes with a price - gradual corruption of his memory bank. At some point, he won't be granted "another chance".

Summary

Pre-mission

Epsilon had the lowest productivity rate, despite being hailed as "the strongest in the line" by his designers, thanks to an error in his code - an unexplained questioning of his actions and his sympathy for other beings. A decision came to turn him into more of a "support unit" for those who were more prone to attacks, such as S.D. Ita and S.D. Alpha, who titles herself Archangel - a sadistic Disassembly Drone, at the top of the list and, in short, a "perfect example of what a Disassembly Drone should be". Archangel often took advantage of him as she often resorted to partial control of his systems as one of her abilities. To some degree, that gave him just a bit more time before being discarded.

At some point, the company receives a stray signal from a far-away planet named Teta-4. Assuming that is a stranded colony, the R&D department offers Epsilon to take the mission. He had not much say in this, obviously - and with that, he was sent into vast space to Lord knows where.

Space Station - Meeting Monica

Upon arrival, he lands not on the planet, but an orbiting space station. The journey took quite a while, and by that point Epsilon was nearing overheating. After scramming through the station for signs of any drone activity, he stopped at someone's sleep chambers - seemingly still active, as it looked rather well taken care of. Epsilon would pass out at that moment, noticing someone's figure just for a split second. It would take him a few hours to wake up, only to find out he was immobilised. In front of him stood that figure - a female drone, aiming a gun at his head. She didn't know he'd not survive that blow, but aimed nonetheless. She would lower it eventually, pointing out Epsilon's lack of will to do was Disassembly Drones were designed to do. Who would've thought this moment became Epsilon's turning point in life. From that day, he became known as Enco.

Time loop

Around 4 years have passed since Enco's arrival, life seemed to be rather slow, not that he minded that - this kind of solitude was perfect, both for him and Monica. Their seemingly necessary for living together companionship transgressed into something of mutual trust and respect, as well as uplifting support. It was a learning experience for Enco too - to decide who he is on his own, now that he was free from the company's control. Of course, nothing lasts forever, and their time spent together was cut short by Archangel's arrival to the space station. Unfortunately, Monica was first on her path, and was slain quick. Enco was not close at that moment, and when he returned to the control, he only got to see his partner's body destroyed and his former comrade's arms smothered in oil. He managed to get ahold of Monica and take her to the evacuation area, noticing that she was just barely alive. However, she spoke, asking him to hear her request and leave without her: "Meet me again in the past and do what you must."

Upon evacuating from the space station, Enco finds himself on a deserted planet - all this time, they orbited around an abandoned colony, and Monica seemed to be its last survivor. He stumbles upon a bunker-like area, which led to an underground facility structure - a big chain of areas, served together as Teta-4's Drone colony. As Enco steps inside, the time loop and his seemingly endless attempts at reuniting with Monica begin.
