Derian is the prince of another nation, and is betrothed to Lucen's princess, Raine Lillian. They were childhood friends. Derian is currently acting as the head guard to the Lucens castle staff, and can be a bit of a stick in the mud when it comes to the rules. He's not a fan of bending rules, and prefers to follow them to the letter. He also doesn't approve of Raine's insistence on building a relationship with Incantare. There are plenty of Magicae in Lucens as it is, there's nothing to prove, leave the forest people to their own business.

Not Chosen, Just People
Derian disagrees with Raine's goal to build a relationship with Incantare. He doesn't want anything to do with them, and he believes he deserves a say, as he's going to be married to her and become a ruler of Lucens alongside her one day soon. He gets frustrated with her constantly ignoring his feelings on the matter, and will eventually try to convince her of his point of view, or take things into his own hands.
Trivia
- This man was a ~cunt~ in the RP. Not that the RP lived long enough for him to show up. But he was intended to be a toxic ex of Raine's. Hence the age gap.
- He was super scruffy in the RP. How I turned that into this put together version of him is beyond me. I'm surprised it even looks like him considering how obsolutely disheveled his original design is.

Derian is more than happy with the betrothal arrangement. However he can sense that she is hesitant. He does his best to put her mind at ease, to gently assure her that things will work out, but he can't be sure if it's working or not.
