Description

Just a year younger than Achilles, he grew up being compared to him and told to be more like him. This nurtured a hatred for the other aasimar in him from a very young age, having been born into a family of Avenging Angels, and led to his entire life being dedicated to proving himself as a warrior. Hektor grew up rather lonely. Both of his parents were Avenging Angels and because of this he was trained as a child to eventually become one as well. His childhood consisted mostly of rigorous training and learning how to fight. Because of this, along with his quick temper and unusual permanent wings, he didn’t have many friends, even among the other child prodigies. His only real friend was his younger brother Paris who was also training to be an Angel at their parents’ wishes.
Despite his hatred for him, Hektor was still forced to train alongside Achilles. The two were often pitted against each other in training sessions and in their teenage years their rivalry came to a head during one such occasion. They were dueling as part of training when Achilles purposefully goaded Hektor resulting in his temper flaring. His anger got the better of him and he wildly attacked Achilles, however it was true that Achilles was the more talented of the two and easily parried his blows. Hektor was dispatched by the other and in a show of dominance, Achilles slashed his left eye with the tip of his blade. The fight was quickly put to an end after this and Hektor was rushed off for his wound to be treated while Achilles was reprimanded.
After this incident, Hektor became despondent and attempted to quit his training. His parents became very angry at the idea and threatened to disown him if he did. So his brother stepped in, knowing he was the only one that could convince him to continue.
As adults, while Hektor has decent ranking among the Angels, Achilles and his husband Patroclus are both still higher ranking than him. While he has no choice but to respect their authority, he hates this and will avoid interacting with either of them at all costs.
