Twyla

Twyla grew up with a privelidged life. Her father was a successful architect and her mother was a lawyer. She excelled in school and was captain of the swim team. Despite all this she was very closested in her actual interests. She grew up male and went by Trevor. Never delving too much into her feelings and just wanting to maintain her immaculate popular image in school, she kept up the fascade of the preppy swim team captain everyone knew.
Things changed when a small meteriote struck the park by her house when she was walking her dog one night. She passed out on approaching it too closely and woke up with an amulet and the ability to tranform into a magical girl along with her dog taking on the form of a familiar. Tywla excitedly explored the world her new powers had opened up to her that she previously lived vicariously through with the media she read and watched. As time passed she began to question the form she took and whether it was just coincidence or if it was a manifestation of feelings she was ignoring.
Upon graduation she transferred to Washington State University and began studying with an undeclared major. In a new setting away from the people she grew up with, she began exploring her feelings and figuring out who she really was without the social pressures she had previously been living under. With a good bit of research she eventually realized she was transgender. Twyla came out to her parents that christmas when she returned home and they embraced her news with support and committed to helping her through whatever changes she wished to make to make her feel comfortable.
With time came more confidence in herself and what she really wanted out of life. She graduated with a degree in fashion and design and now runs her own small shop and fashion line called Twya's treasures. She still occassionally uses her superpowers when the need arises though her form has changed to that of a mature celestial witch.
