Monroe starts out as Theodore Cole's manager. As a country singer's manager her life was pretty hectic for the longest time, and her job demanding. Over time though she never grew to hate it, only grew to love it more the harder she fell for Teddy. Eventually she quits being Teddy's manager when they have their first child, Buckley, and they both settle onto life on the coast, more than happy to have a quieter life in peace. They eventually have a second child, their daughter, Summer.

Monroe is professional and reserved when she's a manager, but she warms up to Teddy and becomes warm. She doesn't mother him exactly, but she does care for his well being even when he stops caring for his own. She's sweet, but with a good side of sass to balance out what would be an overly-sweet relationship if she were not. She's still pretty no-nonsense and can lash back out whatever someone dishes to her.
