WIP some things need edited! Ottilie breathed her first breath in the world on a cold autumn night in 1882. Her parents thought she was a beautiful child when she hatched, and they doted on her fiercely. When she was a viscling, barely old enough to speak to them, she vanished and it turned their world upside down. As fate would have it, Ottilie was born with “temporal displacement” a term she coined when she “landed” in 1944 at age ten in a large library in Boston where she spent a ton of time sneaking in to read. She has no control over this ability and had no one to care after her while she was young. But somehow, she’s survived and even prospered. She tends to land, now, in roughly the same three generations, but very sporadically and for completely different periods of time, though sometimes she jumps much farther into the past or future with no explanation or reason as to why that is. She is generally unhappy, and blames herself for some unfortunate things. There are a few times she accidentally sends someone off to the wrong time in her place. She regrets most leaving young Cordelia behind that she was caring for, and vows to never take on the care of another child again.
