ANDREWS #1001
❝ Love doesn't always come when you want it to. Sometimes it just happens, despite your will. ❞
Flowers in the Attic; Andrews is able to create a large rose flower bed up to 50ft around him, and about 1ft tall. He is able to manipulate the roses around him- and if a thorn cuts through ones skin, that stem will attach itself under the skin and start slowly growing upwards to the brain. If cut from the leg or shin area, it takes about 10 minutes,, lower arm or torso, 5 minutes,, and anywhere from near the neck to the face, not much time at all. -- He isn't great with close combat, but still tries to get his opponent on the ground before using his ability.

Andrews was born an American citizen. His father was from America and his gifted mother was from Japan. It was a nice love story, a beautiful woman meeting with a lovely man and falling in love. His mother was in America for a long trip and even extended it to stay with his father for a while. It was nice, calming, and happy. They got married and eventually had a daughter! A few years later, they had another daughter. They were living a perfect and comfortable life with the things they wanted. Andrews’s mother wanted to go back home and show her husband the beauties of Japan. He happily agreed and they planned to move away to Japan in a small town not far from Yokohama. With a lot of hard work and hard-earned money, they spend their time moving into a lovely little home. Their kids started school and the parents were working to keep everything stable. Nothing too bad, right? Everything was just fine.
Until one day when the kids came home from school. The house was quiet, it was empty- it was never like this. The eldest seemed cautious and weary of the dead-seeming environment. Maybe their parents just had to work late? No, they would never. They searched around the house- everywhere but their parent's bedroom. They were never allowed in their bedroom without permission- it was for privacy reasons. The eldest noticed their door was slightly cracked, something they never tended to do. She didn’t want to just barge into their room, it would be rude- but in times like this, it was necessary. The anxiety in the room rose, and heartbeats were heard in the ears of the child. Andrews didn’t know what was happening, he looked so lost. The eldest slowly opened the door, heavily cautious of what was behind it. Once it was opened she paused. Her eyes widened in absolute horror. She felt sick. There they were; two lovely people dead on the ground. Blood splattered along the walls and floors. White roses grew near the lovers, hoping for a sense of protection. They were stained a bright red color. The innocence stained, yet still representing their unbroken love. Andrews was still too young to understand what was happening. He didn’t even know what to think of the situation. He saw his older sister in absolute distraught, which only worried him more. The eldest quickly picked the youngest up and grabbed her bag, throwing whatever she could into that bag. She had no time to think and simply grabbed what she needed as she ran out of the house. With a scene like that, maybe something is out to hunt them. Nothing was on the girl's mind, she just ran far into the nearby forest. Ran and ran until there was a safe spot to settle. Years passed, the kids were 6 and 9. They stayed in an old shack in the forest. It wasn’t nice, but it worked for a place to stay. At this point, Andrews had developed a sense of his ability. He was aware of it, but it was so out of control. Luckily, it was still in the beginner stage; so the rose beds didn’t travel far, and their manipulation wasn’t a full development. Seeing this power growing, the eldest only grew upset. She saw her mother as the youngest and it hurt her. She never fully explained what happened to their parents or why they were in an old shack to the youngest. There was no way for him to fully understand anyway. She didn’t want to make him upset. Over the years, the eldest kept lying about their parents, about their home. “Oh, they are on a business trip” or “Wanted us to play outside until they called us back in.” The naive little boy believed it. They hated this shitty life, it was draining, and there was nothing to do. Andrews would always complain about how much he wanted to see his friends or go out into the town. This went on for years.
The youngest was 12 and the eldest was 15. Andrews grew curious, he wanted to go out into the world. They were running out of stock in food and not many animals came around the areas anymore. The eldest decided it might be safe out in the world. It had been years since the incident. She decided it was time they went out into the real world and maybe even snatched a few things of food. The two kids grabbed their things and packed up, walking into the deep forest. The eldest had no idea where she was going other than in the opposite direction from their old home. She didn’t want to go back there, it was too risky. After a long walk and lots of complaining, they finally hear city sounds. Andrews was being carried the rest of the way as they made their way into Yokohama. The children were mesmerized by the bright town and people walking down the street. The eldest let the youngest walk on his own as they stepped along the sides of the city. They were getting strange looks, which was no surprise for two homeless children walking the streets. After a bit of walking, they decided it was best to get food. They didn’t have any money whatsoever, so their only solution was to steal. It was a big risk to take, and they were willing to take it. They two walked into an area with food courts set up, the children had to think quickly. The eldest grabbed the youngest by the hand and told him what to do in case they got in trouble. The youngest heard loud and clear and they proceeded on.
The eldest quickly grabbed things of bread and lots of other foods. People saw her, there were officers around. She panicked and ran. The youngest was unsure of what to do, he hadn’t fully been capable of using his ability. In the blink of an eye, rose beds spread across the area, stopping the officers from getting anywhere close to his sister, along with the risk of innocent lives. The eldest ran far, she ran so far that she wasn’t seen in sight anymore. He felt glad she was able to get away, but he wasn’t so lucky. He ended up getting caught by the police in a matter of seconds. They took him in for questioning, but he refused to speak. He was too scared. Everything happened in a matter of seconds, all he wanted was his sister. He was sitting in the questioning room alone with his thoughts. He was trying to process everything happening. He just killed so many people, no matter how beautiful the death was. Eventually, the door to the quiet room was kicked down. Men in black with weapons walked into the room. The child panicked, he didn’t want to get hurt, he didn’t want to die. An older man with nicer clothes walked into the room. He sat down in front of the cuffed child, across the table in the questioning room. He comforted the child and told him he was sorry to hear about the young one's parents. The little one didn’t understand, but it was dodged anyway. The older man decided to offer an opportunity in life, to feel accepted and to fit in better with an ability like his. At first, the boy refused; he was so young and didn’t know how to control his ability. He didn’t want to hurt anyone else. The older man explained that he could help the child, help control their ability, and help find his sister. The child hesitated and paused. All he wanted was for his sister to be safe. The only thing left from her was an old necklace that was given to him in the shack. The child agreed to these terms, the strange group helped uncuff the child. The older man took the child by the hand like a father guiding their kid. The child was mentally and physically preparing himself for any danger up ahead. He wanted to make his sister proud.
From the start of Andrews's journey to the present time, a lot happened. Andrews was trained in the black lizard to properly control his ability. Over time, he forgot his original purpose for joining the port mafia. He was told the truth about his parents, which never even bothered him- he forgot about his sister over time, and overall it seemed like he lost a sense of his mind. He met a lot of people during his time in the port mafia, he enjoyed his time there. He was a higher-up in the black lizard, he went on difficult missions and ruthlessly killed so many people. He was dangerous, well known. He felt relieved for once in his life, forgetting about anything else ever really happening before he joined. He lost his childhood, he doesn’t even count it as a childhood. He lived in shacks for years, abandoned and lied to by his sister. The only thing he had on his mind was doing what was right for the boss. He grew a large respect for Mori in most aspects; in others not so much. He always found Mori to be a gross guy, but respect for the boss is respect for the boss. He often comes in encounters with the ADA, but his ability is never of any use with Dazai on their side. He always used to look up to Dazai, he was amazed by how intelligent and strategic he was. With Andrews joining the mafia at a younger age, he saw it all. Chuuya joining the agency, Angos betrayal, Oda's death, Abbeys leaving, Dazais leaving, he saw it all. It was an interesting piece of his life, and it was one he never complained about.
