Have you ever seen Hell in someone’s eyes and loved it anyway?
Celestine Illiev was born to a mortal man and a surrogate mother in Belgium along with her twin brother, Calix.
Her father was the Prime Minister of Belgium, and she spent her life in the public eye. Though she never really minded, and she enjoyed all the parties that allowed her to meet people. She was controlled heavily by both her father and brother. Upon coming to Grimm, she was kept under Calix’s constant watchful eye.

Celestine was the sensitive and kind element of the Illiev family.
She is a deeply empathetic girl who was dedicated to the right thing. She was entirely peaceful, unwilling to even speak a bad thing about someone. She wanted to believe in the good in people, and often was considered all too naive because of it. She was aloof as well, her mind wandering from one topic to another and never quite in the present.

The Academy
Upon arriving at the academy, Celestine was curious and eager to explore her new surroundings. However, Calix was all too distrusting. He kept a close eye on his sister, never letting her go far, and certainly never into town. Though Celestine was just happy to have a new experience.
Calix
After being claimed and having a few new experiences under her belt, she came to blows with Calix on their birthday. She argued that she no longer wanted to be controlled by him and wanted to be free. This led to Calix going to the Scarlett Kingdom, where he embarrassed himself in front of his mother. He was disowned and sent to an insane asylum in Marmoreal at the request of his older sister, Tempeste.
The Ivory Court
At her claiming, Celestine was tasked with discovering the mole within the court. The mole was one of her suitors, and she spent quite a bit of time with them in an effort to find the culprit. During this time, she fell for one of her suitors, Sano, and eventually sniffed out her suitor Rajani as the mole. Rajani preached about overthrowing the monarchy before being banished. Later, Celestine was given time with her mother and Sano at a lakeside estate where she received her fate to become a traveling potioneer.
• Mirana
Mirana is Celestine’s mother and one of the few positive figures in her life. Celestine adores her mother and is always willing to help her, just as Mirana helped her. Celestine idolizes her mother and feels the safest when she is nearby.
• Calix
Calix is Celestine’s fraternal twin brother and the Son of the Queen of Hearts. Her brother through their father and cousin through their mothers, Celestine considers him her twin in full no matter the circumstances of their birth. Despite his control over her and his anger issues, Celestine always has and always will love her brother and stand by him. Now that he is insane, she takes care of him when she can.
• Sano Edris
Sano was Celestine’s favored suitor during her time in the social season at court, Sano is a baker in Marmoreal. Celestine chose him at the end of the social season, and happily has become his betrothed after spending some time getting to know each other better. They support each other wholeheartedly in all their endeavours.
