Wisteriamist's mother, Frogfern, had always been a hopeless romantic since she was an apprentice. She'd often ramble to her brother about her crush of the week--but her romantic interests never seemed to last long. As she got older, this trait of her ended up fading away.

But when she was about 40 moons old, close friends and family would notice a change in her behavior--returning to how she was when she was younger, a hopeless romantic. She'd often act giddy or daydream while attending to her warrior duties. She'd even began to decorate herself with flowers, something she didn't seem to care to do before. Sometimes, she'd even be absent from camp at strange times.

Frogfern had Wisteriakit at 48 moons old. She never mentioned who their father was, but she seemed to be very happy to be a mother! Still, those who visited her would notice that she never seemed entirely focused on Wisteriakit, staring out from the nursery she resided in. And when Wisteriakit became four moons old, Frogfern would go missing. A close friend would mention that they last saw her heading towards the direction of Sunclan's border.

Frogfern nor her body was ever found. Some would grumble on how she must've ran off with whoever fathered Wisteriakit. But the more popular rumor was that Sunclan warriors had killed her at the border. Afterall, that was easier to believe than a loyal Moonclan warrior committing treachery. But nothing ever came of these rumors, there was no evidence to support... anything. Frogfern's seemingly wanting to disappear was her decision.

Regardless, Wisteriakit was left without parents, so they attached themself to the idea that Frogfern was killed by Sunclan warriors. They couldn't handle the idea of their mother just abandoning them like that. This would be the foundation to their beliefs and strong loyalty to Moonclan.
