Dreadfuleye is older—about 40 to 50 in human years, maturity-wise. He used to be a respected general before and during the early part of Queen Agate’s rule, though he’s now retired. When he was younger, he mainly handled revolts and unrest caused by the old queen's unfavor on other religions or non-belief. He became well-known for being a strong and skilled fighter, though his methods were often violent.

Some dragons, especially older sceptres, remember him as “Dreadful,” because of how he ended fights quickly and harshly. His body is covered in scars from those battles, and his tail spade is sharpened. He’s muscular and powerful, and even though he's retired, he’s still very capable in a fight.

Dreadfuleye is a follower of Night and Emphoes, though he prefers to worship pirvately. Because his eyes clearly show he’s been touched by Night, and his past actions, many dragons—especially non-followers of night—don’t like him or trust him. He stays away from crowded places. He prefers nighttime, not just because of his connection to Night, but because he enjoys the peace and quiet it brings. He’s grumpy, quiet and not very social, usually keeping to himself. However, he does care deeply for his daughter Crimsonhunt and shows his softer side only around her.
