CHARACTER ABILITIES

Eating and Drinking Prowess
Tyr knows how to clean a plate as well as he cleans a battlefield. What is placed before him is eaten expertly with the expertise of the finest gourmets, no crumbs left remaining, no surfaces left not licked clean. He loves his food and mead almost as much as he loves his fights. A good fight and good food makes for a good day.

Weapon Prowess
True to his name, the God of War is an expert in many forms of weaponry, from melee weapons to archery. While he commonly wields his axe, he isn't shy about using anything he can get his hands on and will typically use it well. Even weapons he hasn't used before, like NoobMaster69's mother's couch, he will inevitably figure out before long.

Superhuman Strength
With strength above that of the average Asgardian male, Tyr is capable of lifting over 50 tons worth of weight. That is a lot.

Superhuman Stamina
Tyr's muscles produce considerably less fatigue toxins than the muscles of human beings during physical activity. Regardless of whether that activity is murdering, plotting a murder, eating, drinking or you know... He can exert himself for about 24 hours before fatigue begins to impair him. He hasn't heard any complaints from the ladies so far.

Superhuman Speed
Tyr is capable of running and moving at speeds much greater than that of the finest athletes in the galaxy. He could probably win the Intergalactic Space Olympics if he wasn't too busy murdering people. But maybe one day Usain Bolt will have competition.

Superhuman Durability
When you get in as many battles as the God of War, you get hit as many times as the... Well... God of War. Point is, he has some serious durability. He can withstand great impact forces, temperature extremes, and high caliber bullets without them hurting him at all. Dude is an absolute tank, let me tell you. Being an Asgardian, and a son of the big man especially, he can easily survive powerful energy blasts and attacks from opponents with minimal damage.

Asgardian Constitution
Tyr, as with other Asgardians, ages at a slower pace than that of human beings. Despite being over a millennium young as is, he's still in his physical prime and probably always will be. Tyr is in turn also immune to all known Earthly diseases and infections. Maybe he should try investing in the stock market?

Allspeak
A dialect taught to Asgardians, the All-Speak allows him to speak and understand the tongue of any creature that he speaks to. Those he speaks to hear him in their own native language.

Regenerative Healing Factor
Asgardian metabolism allows him to heal with superhuman levels of speed and efficiency, in the rare moment something can actually injure him. Haven't tried re-growing a limb yet though.

Power of Eldr’hrym
Forging this long axe using the essence of Fire Giants he slew in one of his greatest campaigns, Eldr’hrym allows for Tyr to wield the power of mighty flames. Able to create fire from nothing, manipulate existing flames, set the axe itself ablaze in order to add to the power of his blows and even summon and de-summon the axe itself in a veil of flames, Eldr’hrym is Tyr's signature weapon and his greatest asset. He has used it for so long that his own body has been effected by its essence. He exudes a great deal of body heat, making cold nothing to him, and also making him a great cuddle blanket for a lovely lady when he partakes. He is now capable of using these powers of flame without Eldr’hrym, but the weapon helps him focus and stabilize its use.

Hand to Hand Combat
When he doesn't have a weapon, he becomes the weapon. Tyr was trained thoroughly in hand to hand combat, so when he punches you, he doesn't just punch hard -- he punches with skill.

Tactical Prowess
Considered one of the greatest generals in all of Asgard, Tyr is a skilled tactician, who has led his armies to victories on thousands of occasions. If you're gonna be the God of War, you'd best be good at it.

Heated Passion For Battle
His name is Tyr, and he loves to fight. Tyr is happiest with an axe in his hand and a severed head speared onto the tip. He loves every second of every battle, and is at his best when the fighting starts. He will not hesitate to jump into battle if he has a say in the matter.

Alcohol Tolerance
Like many of his kind, Tyr drinks. A lot. Even by Asgardian standards, it takes the strongest of drinks to get the God of War drunk. Lucky for him, if Asgard has an abundance of anything, it's drinks.

Battle Experience
His first battle was waged when he was only ten years old. Considering he's over a millennium young by now, I think you can do the math on that one. He is seasoned, grizzled, and knows his way around a battle. But what do you expect from the mighty God of War?

The God of Swole
With godly gains, Big Daddy Tyr's in peak physical condition, to say the least. And he doesn't seem to be leaving his physical prime anytime soon. He may well be the swolest god in town.

This Is A Bad Idea
Despite his title, Tyr is an even-tempered man. But when someone is foolish enough to actually make him mad, there is no stopping him. He only seems to get stronger when he's angry, which is bad news for everyone around him.

Strong Battling Instincts
With all his experiences, his instincts go well above and beyond on the battlefield. He knows when the enemy is coming, and he knows where they're coming from. He can hear your movements, the whistle in the wind as you swing, and his reflexes do all the rest. He is one of the last people you should try to engage in direct combat. Many a man have met their end from trying.

MOTIVATIONS

Called the "God Of War", the adrenaline of a battlefield fuels Tyr. He craves the clash of steel, whether that be against the steel of man or the hide of monsters. It gives him something to look forward to at the dawn of each day, and gives him purpose.

As one of Asgard's commanders, Tyr Odinson has sworn an oath to protect Asgard and its people, no matter what planet it may be on. He will protect them with his life if need be, and is not afraid to die for this cause. While he was unable to be present to fight Thanos, his people shalt not continue to suffer whilst he still draws breath.

After Thanos, Asgard was attacked, and he could do nothing. Then he was sent to a world gone mad, subject to the whims of a mortal more powerful than he. If he was no god, what was he? Being the actual "God of War" was all that he knew, and now its status as merely a title rings true now more than ever.

Not content to continue as-is, Tyr would seek to find ways to further keep Asgard safe. That includes, he has realized, protecting the realm of Midgard itself. His older brother had known that all this time, having become one of this world's Avengers. Now, it was Tyr's turn.

Their title of "gods" may only be in name, but he had decided to live life beyond that moniker.

He would fight to protect this realm, protect the Asgardians and their neighbors whose realm they shared. He would become ever stronger, iron forged by fire, fight the strongest that this universe has to offer, and become the strongest warrior in this or any realm. To ensure that those he protects, and those he loved, would never be harmed again.

For Tyr, life is a never-ending war. And he wouldn't have it any other way.

CHARACTER HISTORY

Growing up the son of Odin and the younger brother of Thor, Tyr was never destined to be the heir to Asgard’s throne. At first, this bothered his warrior’s pride. He considered it an insult to his strength, something he had honed through many battles over the years as he was groomed to become Asgard’s military commander. But in the end, he found that the power meant nothing to him, for he had found a new love — the art of battle.

And battle he did. Tyr loved to fight. He was at his happiest with an axe in his hand and the enemy’s head mounted at the tip. Hundreds of years worth of military campaigns passed and his old jealous streak faded into the utter bliss of the battlefield. There were many good fights, good drinks and good women to be had, and he couldn’t be happier for it. Eventually, his exploits saw him become the military commander he was always destined to be.

He may not have the recognition as the King of Asgard that he had once coveted, but he had found something that fit him so much more. Tyr was called to ceremony by Odin himself, christened the “God of War”. To celebrate, Tyr had an axe forged using the essence of the very Fire Giants he had led a campaign against many years ago in what was considered his greatest military conquest. With it, he was able to command the very flames that he had been washed with himself in the midst of war. These flames of war, so to speak, became the axe “Eldr'hrym”.

As part of this celebration, the newly appointed God of War took his armies and set out on the grandest conquest of all, wielding Eldr’hrym in her maiden bloodletting in hopes of purging Asgard of its biggest threats one by one, taking the offensive for Asgard with a commander who loved nothing more than jumping into the thick of it. This campaign lasted over a hundred years, and the Asgardians looked to be at the height of their power…

… At least until he came back to find that Asgard had been renamed Asgone while he was away. While he had been fighting threats in another realm, Asgard had been destroyed by Ragnarok, and a giant purple man with a glove had invaded what was left of his people and destroyed half of all life. Sure, he’d suddenly lost a great many men during a particularly hellacious battle, but these things happened, he hadn’t suspected that something was going down at home. Without the Bifrost, they were on their own to find out if any Asgardians had survived.

His troops eventually tracked the remnants of Asgard to the realm of Midgard, where the God of War and his forces were a welcome addition to the defense force of New Asgard by his brother, the new King of Asgard, Thor. He came to learn that his father, Odin, had passed and his chosen son had taken his throne. Perhaps the old Tyr would have resented this, but the God of War no longer cared about these things. Once more, he had a cause to fight for.

Unfortunately, robbed of much of their technology and forces, there wasn’t often an opportunity for the reinstated commander of New Asard’s armies to go to war. Which, understandably, wasn’t exactly a fit for the God of War. Bored and anxious, Tyr sets out to carve his place in this new world.
