CHARACTER ABILITIES

Fire Of The Dragon
Pyrokinesis. The Dragon can bring forth raging flames to use in many different ways. Dragon is able to conjure flames from his hands and either fire them rapidly from his palms, or charge them up and causing them to grow bigger for more power at the expense of time and energy. The fireballs explode upon contact. Dragon can also hold out his palms to shoot jets of flame from them, though the continuous stream of flame drains energy quickly with use. He can light candles with the snap of his fingers, and conjure a small wall of fire to shield himself. However, His pyrokinesis can fatigue him in a hurry if he does not pace himself.

Wings Of The Dragon
Scaled wings slowly sprout from Dragon's back, moving through the suit (Which is designed to safely transport the wings outside of the suit and keep them contained and safe) to allow Dragon to take flight. Dragon can flap his wings to fly, or keep them steady to glide. The wings can be damaged, but will heal themselves with time.

Strength Of The Dragon
Dragon's physical strength has been immensely augmented, making him capable of lifting objects several times his own body weight.

Heart Of The Dragon
Minor healing factor. Constantly being on the field, the Dragon is bound to take a fair amount of damage. But his metahuman genes allow for his body to heal itself quickly. Anything from cuts and bruises to broken bones and scars can be mended, but it takes time. The more severe the injury, the longer it takes. However, it's not very effective in the middle of combat and requires rest for the Dragon to heal fully.

Health Bar Of Every Dragon Boss Ever
The Dragon's bone density has been immensely increased, making his body far more durable and able to withstand incredible levels of strain without breaking like a kitkat bar. However, this does not make him invulnerable by any means. Fatal injuries such as a strong enough blow to the skull will still kill him.

Claws Of The Dragon
The Dragon can summon claws from his fingers in similar manner to his wings, and retract them the same way. While sharp and durable, they can be broken but will heal over time.

Rage Of The Dragon
Also known as Draconic Rage, it's more side effect than power per-se. As the Dragon's emotional state becomes elevated, his physical prowess and pyrokinetic abilities become more lethal. This takes the form of four stages, with each representing a level of emotional height based around feelings ranging from rage, to pain, to grief. But each stage takes a toll on his senses. Draconic Rage trades control for power, and the worse things get, the more he loses his ability to think rationally until at his worst he becomes more beast than man.

*While it is possible for the Dragon to learn to control this state and reduce its downside, doing so would cap its power at a lower stage.

Armor Of The Dragon
The armored suit, built with a unique synthesized metal meant to withstand the battles that the Dragon goes through. The suit is catered to allowing him to summon his wings and claws without getting anything tangled up or damaged in the process, as well as distribute the heat of his pyrokinesis so as to not cause him harm. The suit is engineered to materialize or collapse to and from the body using a wrist decoration, in order to be taken on and off at a moment's notice. A small, lightweight mask is worn under the suit in case the helmet is damaged.

Mechanical Excellence
Hi, Felix Drake here! What, Dragon? No, I don't see any dragons here. The only dragon I know of is the fire-breathing dragon that is DracoDream taking the world by storm! Here at DracoDream, the best, brightest and most passionate engineers are hard at work creating the future of the world... Of convenience! Being at the forefront of this operation, I need to set the example. With a Masters in Mechanical Engineering, I'd like to think I'm not too bad if I say so myself! Many of DracoDream's inventions and forays into holo-tech begin in my office or personal workshop before moving to the show floor.

Dragon Mask
The power of performance. Not really a "superpower" so much as the capability to swap personas on the dime. When Felix Drake becomes the Blue Dragon, it's a complete change in personality and demeanour. He even manages to hide his feelings of overwhelming pain and trauma!

The DracoVision Holowatch
The crowning achievement of DracoDream. Originally devised and completed by Romon and Severa Drake, the prototype and much of their research was destroyed by the Barbos Syndicate. But Felix Drake took the initiative and made their dream a reality. The DravoVision watch runs with DracoDream's signature cutting-edge holographic technology, bringing up an interface that can be interacted with by voice and touch. It can access voice and video calls, the internet, and even play games! It can also serve as a proper projector for fun light effect shows if you're creative enough.

MOTIVATIONS

Felix seeks to make the world a better place through contributions in technology as Felix Drake, and through keeping it safe as the Blue Dragon. But his grudge against Barbos and his Barbos Syndicate has not been forgotten. His men are loyal on a seemingly brainwashed level, and information is difficult to obtain. Barbos is extremely elusive, and has avoided the Dragon for years. But if he can manage to find him... He has long held an overwhelming desire to ensure that Barbos will never hurt a soul again. But with his aversion to killing, what will he do when he and Barbos are finally face to face?

CHARACTER HISTORY

Growing up in Metropolis, Felix Drake was the sole heir to DracoDream, a steadily rising corporation based off building the technology of the future, today. Being around so much of it growing up led him to idolize his parents and their projects, and Felix spent a great deal of time in their labs. His passion for technology and mechanics brought out a potential natural talent for invention and sciences, something he learned during time able to learn a great deal from some of the world’s greatest minds, even having opportunities to help them with their work when he wasn’t at school. Something that his parents were incredibly happy about. In their eyes, he was the right candidate to lead the company and their vision into the future.

But as most superhero stories go, these happy moments wouldn’t last. Shortly after graduating, he began the process of shadowing his parents in order to learn the ins and outs of running the company and its departments. During this time, he was witness to their crowning achievement. Their holographic technology that had earned them their business through fun little gadgets for kids would finally take its first steps into fulfilling their dreams of a better, happier world. All consolidated into a watch that operated on this technology. Internet services, video calling, all on a floating holographic interface that you could see through but also touch or use voice to use! The multi-tasking potential was incredible! No more would smartphones be needed to surf the net or communicate with your friends and family, the future was hands free! And soon, the day to unveil it would be upon them! The sum of so much time and resources, his parents' life's work, their dreams finally realized!

But unfortunately, the Drake family had made a powerful enemy. That enemy was the head of the Barbos Syndicate, a crime lord aptly named Barbos. Barbos had heard of their forays and offered a partnership. He would help supply resources but wanted 70% of any profits that might be earned from the final results of their work down the road when the technology could be sold freely. DracoDream refused, and Barbos promised retribution. This promise was brought to life in gruesome fashion during the HoloWatch's unveiling day. He and his men organized a hit and run, massacring nearly everyone in attendance. Felix had been urged by his parents to hide, and in he turn watched them be gunned down before his eyes. His home set aflame. The technology, their life's work, all destroyed out of spite.

Knocked unconscious by falling debris, Felix was barely rescued from the fire in time and only narrowly survived the encounter. But something had changed in Felix.

It was when he was nearly mugged by Barbo’s goons that the reality of this situation came to head. His physical strength and defense had increased drastically, he had found he could sprout wings and claws at will, and utilize pyrokinesis of all things. Recognizing the goons from the reveal, Felix flew into an uncontrollable rage, savagely killing his attackers. But while his rage eventually died down and he regained control of himself, Felix found himself harboring a deep and dark desire. And that was to kill Barbos and take away everything he had built, just as he had done to his own family. He had destroyed much of their life’s work… He knew that with his powers it was Felix's turn to destroy his.

While remaining in contact with DracoDream through video calls on his off time to continue his instruction on the ins and outs of running the company in order to prepare him to take the place of his parents as the owner of the company, he began to travel the world in search of Barbos, not telling a soul of his true intentions. He even began pursuing his degree online to cover his tracks. While the Barbos Syndicate had terrorized his native town for many years, they had begun to expand their criminal empire across the world. With all the time Barbos spent on the expansion, finding him became difficult and Felix continued to find dead end after dead end. He began to train his body while also exploring the extent of his newfound abilities, training himself to become the weapon that would one day put Barbos down.

While he wasn’t able to find him, he did find the operations he had left behind. He began sabotaging them, putting his new abilities to practice under a mask to hide his activities both from Barbos and from his own camp. People began to whisper of a figure called "The Dragon". Something that Felix would in turn embrace. His past in working with machines and metal as an apprentice allowed him to manufacture a metal suit inspired by mythical dragons in folklore.

The suit was built to protect him as well as allow him to use his abilities without any ill effects to himself, as best they could. Of course, this did not come without a great deal of trial and error, as while he was experienced with machines... Armor was a completely different story. It took a great many tries and many different resources until he was able to manufacture the perfect type of metal for the armor, and get the armor to be in a shape that he was satisfied with. He continued to improve on this while he traveled the world hunting Barbos down. The biggest highlight of his improvements to his suit came when he was able to develop a mechanism for the suit to be contained within a decoration on his wrist. When pressed, the armor would automatically begin to form over his body. Another press would allow him to do the reverse, hiding the armor once more. Great for keeping his identity.

Taking out every one of Barbos' operations he could, he had plenty of opportunity to test the armored suit until he was satisfied. His time dealing with the criminal underworld gave him a great deal of understanding of just what made Barbos so influential and powerful, and just what people were willing to do for power and greed. Eventually, it was time for Felix to take over DracoDream and restore order in the ranks. With that, Felix Drake's training came to an end and he returned home. He also continued his education in Metropolis, aiming for a Masters in Mechanical Engineering.

His first obstacle was not on the field, but in the boardroom. A hostile takeover by members of the board that had been running the company in his absence sought to keep their power by any means necessary. But he had been prepared for this possibility, and thus he was able to quickly persuade key members of the board to his side and oust his opponents from the company. Felix quickly took over as the owner, CEO and chairman of the board, and also took to heading their department of mechanics as well.

DracoDream's first major milestone under the ownership of Felix was to rebuild what they had lost on the day of the unveiling, perfect the holographic technology that had been their trademark for years, and make the dream his parents had finally come true. The DracoVision. It was finally a reality. The product sold like mad, allowing for DracoDream to enter a new age of prosperity, seizing triumph from the jaws of tragedy as the company made billions and quickly began to join the ranks of the corporate elite. While it wouldn't bring his parents back, it was something to celebrate.

But even if he couldn't bring them back, he had not forgotten his unyielding desire to avenge them. Any moments he could get away to himself were spent training, honing his skills and preparing for the fight to come. When not training, he took to the streets in his suit. For nothing could beat experience, and his revenge could not wait. Barbos’ operations were all over Metropolis and outside of it, and he intended to put a stop to as much as he could until he got Barbos. Night by night, more and more of their criminal operations ended abruptly, with nothing but a slew of bodies being left behind. He killed without mercy, carving a path of blood on his way to his revenge. Sooner or later he took to interceding even their smaller crimes, stopping muggings and kidnappings, and other things that put civilians in danger. And then little by little, he couldn’t stop himself from stopping crimes and saving people where he could, no matter who was responsible.

His obsession had turned him into a superhero, albeit involuntarily. But as time went on, even he could admit that even though he had intended to put the suit down when Barbos was dead… He had grown fond of his ability to make a difference. To be able to give people another chance at life when someone might try and take that chance away.

But at times he still took life away. Until the day he stopped a man from Barbos’ operations and quickly put an end to him. What he didn’t know was that the man had been poor and had taken the job to support his little girl, who had witnessed the whole thing as he had nowhere else to put her. Seeing her weep over her fallen father had a profound impact on Felix, realizing that in his obsession, even with good intentions he had ruined lives and destroyed families himself. Not able to live with himself for what he had done, he swore to non-lethal methods all that he could.

Though he still didn’t know if that would apply the day that he finally met Barbos once more.

In time, "The Dragon" began to be referred to as "The Blue Dragon". He decided to roll with it. In time, as the influence of the Barbos Syndicate spread on a global scale, so too did the activities of the Blue Dragon. There were many times that Felix Drake would take business trips in order to serve as a brand ambassador while DracoDream sought to expand its influence, and wherever he went, so too did the Blue Dragon.

In his sixth year as the Dragon, Metropolis and the world at large would experience the Dark Year. The Dragon had attempted to fight off Darkseid's forces, but not even the world's combined forces could stop him. DracoDream's remnants began opening into avenues of medical science on the side in order to provide relief, while the Dragon struck at Darkseid's forces in the shadows.

He had not forgotten his grudge against Barbos however, but surviving this storm had to take priority. Somehow however, Barbos had managed to survive and through the mysterious power he exhibited to bring people to his side, he was able to leverage connections to develop weapons powerful enough to hurt even superhumans. Unfortunately for the Syndicate, their weapons were still nowhere near a match for Darkseid's forces, and many were slaughtered while just testing the weapons. Barbos was eventually forced into the shadows to improve on the designs in the dark...

In time, the heroes would regroup and seek to liberate Earth from Darkseid. The Dragon would join the fight in the background. Earth was saved, and time would be rewound... With memories kept.

DracoDream enjoyed new success due to their goodwill during the Dark Year, and this new avenue seemed to hold enough potential for Felix to try opening it for real. To continue the dreams his parents had of making the world a better place, he knew he had to keep pushing limits. He began to recruit the best and brightest in the field to compensate for his own weaknesses in the field, while Felix's own work focused on the next stage of holographic technology.

But while DracoDream was enjoying more success, the Dragon would face a horrifying reality when a grazing bullet actually managed to do some damage. The weapons research that Barbos had begun desperately working on to fight against Darkseid, was now being used against him. Knowing his job had become far more dangerous, Felix had to consider that perhaps he could no longer fight the Barbos Syndicate alone...
