Characteristics

Poolgaze is a cat who is incredibly dedicated to what she does. She’s very quiet and doesn’t typically speak unless spoken to, or she has a snarky comment to make. Typically, she only speaks in a few words, finding it better to be direct than avoiding the issues at hand.

Poolgaze has abandonment issues thanks to her father’s disappearance, and as such can come off as clingy to her friends and siblings. She’s incredibly loyal to them, and does everything in her power to take good care of them.

Poolgaze’s extra large size has gotten her into quite a few spots of trouble. She towers over everyone else, and although she’s an excellent hunter, she finds it difficult to fit into spaces other cats do. This makes her feel inferior and a bit useless, plus she hates all the attention it garners.

Poolgaze also has a bit of a proud streak. If she can do something, she ought to be able to do it the best. She hates being proved wrong. It’s one of the few things that can get her to say more than a sentence.

History

Kithood: Poolkit was born to a fairly loving set of parents. Waveheart and Cloudstep had been considered the clan’s most loving couple. Unfortunately, when one of Poolkit’s brothers, Stormkit, died thanks to an unexplained illness, this destroyed her father Cloudstep. Overcome with grief, Cloudstep fled the clan, destroying his family’s hearts in the process.

Apprenticeship: Poolpaw was a very quiet apprentice. She was incredibly good at what she did, and her mentor Heronclaw was very proud of her. However, this was also the time where the effects of gigantism hit. Her exceptional hunting skill was frustrated by her suddenly increased bulk, and some of her fellow apprentices teased her about it.

Warriorhood: Poolgaze was made warrior alongside her sister and brother. It was a bit of a shock when Sandstep was given their father’s suffix, and Poolgaze had some hurt feelings. However, being a warrior has given her an excellent step up, and after some time Poolgaze has become a fairly stable member of the clan.
