With creation, always follows destruction.

It is known that when Ellowyn was created in the vacuum of space, they were not born alone. However, stories of their twin sibling are either very few, or taboo to discuss due to the nature of their existence. There are about three things that are known about them: their name is Typhon, they were "born" just after Ellowyn, and they are a deeply corrupted version of themself.

Typhon is a precursor of many mons, being allowed this honor due to the mercy of their sibling and the kindness, the misguided hope, that they exhibit. However, Typhon does not care about Ellowyn. As the God of Corruption, also usually known as the God of Destruction, their sole purpose is to corrput or destroy the things that Ellowyn creates. While this is necessary for the life cycle of the God of Creation, due to the need to continually create and thus past creations must be destroyed to make room, something... happened, when Typhon was created. They were supposed to be a more neutral-aligned god of destruction, destroying due to the necessity of the cycle, but something in their creation corrupted them. Made wrong, and it caused them to develop a personality more akin to a villain, destroying whatever they wanted and corrupting things because they thought it was fun.

Typhon holds no animosity towards their sibling, however, but holds no love either. They delight in the creations that Ellowyn makes if only because it gives them something new to destroy or corrupt. However, they do spare Ellowyn a shred of respect or even pleasantness when they deem fit. If something doesn't seem to be going their way, and it's impacting Typhon's corruption, they do try to help their sibling through it.

This all came to a head when Typhon discovered that Ellowyn had a biological child out in the world they created. Knowing that Ellowyn had created something not using their thousand-arms, and instead using the proper biological process of hatching an egg, Typhon found this incredibly amusing, and decided that, once the small beast was grown enough, they were going to play with him a little. And play they did- during the raid battle with the Redunaoth-Giratina fusion, they reached out to him through a sort of mental connection, and began twisting and corrupting Cadmus, who had only recently learned how to shift into a more godly form. Figuring it would be less fun to change Cadmus's based form and corrupt him completely, they instead opted to give him a new form, one he couldn't control and one they could use for their own purposes when they saw fit. It was perfect, but the next time they'd seen Ellowyn, the creation god was beyond upset. Anywhere between grief, anger, sadness, any emotion one could feel that fit the bill for the situation, Ellowyn felt. They attacked Typhon, the two of them clashing in a violent battle that weakened both of them significantly. Because the corruption process was irreversible, Ellowyn could only sit by and watch as their child struggled with a power that he couldn't control, and that they could not fix. After the fight, Typhon felt something new, something unfamiliar- guilt. Their destructiona dn corruption, it was fun, it was their life's purpose, it was all they knew how to do, but something felt wrong about this somehow. Choosing to apologize, they explained that they didn't believe they were in the wrong but felt sorry that they may have gone too far. Ellowyn did not reply to this, and instead just left Typhon to continue what they usually do.

Typhon doesn't interact with the Pokemon on the surface of the world often, if at all, and instead opts to do things in the background. They find a deep sense of satisfaction and joy in the corruption and destruction they spread, and then stop and do it all over again.
