"Mauve grew up in a religious family who all were chosen by the same  god and was excited to follow in their footsteps. As she came of age,  however, she was chosen by the Trickster god Desire. After a resulting  falling out with her family she roamed the earth alone, trying to find a  place where someone understood the tempting voice whispering in her  ear. She grew into an apathetic, reserved old woman, unable to form  bonds. She receives protection from Desire and tries to fulfill their  requests, but is reluctant to do so."
