Hugo Droken

The ghost of Brutus's dead younger brother lol. (only CHOKK (like Hyun) can see/touch ghosts. tho i haven't edited her bio to reflect this yet lmfao). 

Hugo died like??? atleast 4 yrs ago to Brutus being 23. He spends his time going back and forth between watching over the rest of his family in Raarkajkr, and Brutus in Pyridekk. He used to dedicate equal time between them, but after realizing Hyun can see him, generally spends more time with Brutus.

Eventually, Hugo gets over his disdain/jealousy of Hyun (hyun gets to interact with his sibling while he can't and he can clearly see that Brutus is fond of her/sees her as family) and then hugo and Hyun are friends and he helps Hyun with like. other ghost bullshit, and collecting information (if it's within his abilities). Also less mean to Hyun as he slowly realizes how much it sucks to be CHOKK and all the shit Hyun is hiding and how much it's hurting her to hide it etc.

Personality:

• He is a hater, generally judgemental and cynical. but also he's permanently 15 and dead so.
• extremely protective over Brutus and idolizes Brutus. When he realizes Hyun can see him this creates some conflict LOL.
• He is niceys at heart I promise he just doesn't like 90% of ppl.
• Talkative and opinionated, can talk about fucking nothing. Easily irritated. Generally cautious, not very impulsive.
• eventually gets protective over Hyun bc she's the only living creature he can truly directly interact with, but Brutus/his family remains his highest priority bc that's literally what's making him stay as a ghost. 

• Was Brutus's kesska (kerssud) for a year or so up until he died. It is normal in families for older siblings/parents to mentor (kerssud) the younger btw.
• I barely draw Brutus with it bc I'm lazy, but her keyaa-overexposure necklace in her ref (which canonically, all creatures need those when going in unprotected areas) is a jawbone necklace. Yeah that's Hugo's jawbone.  This is also normal and not weird, bones of loved ones are very keyaa-protective items and it's a way of honoring and loving the dead.
• Ghost's appearances are NOT a 1:1 with how they appeared in life, they are also variable/unstable with their emotions (+ depending on how they died). Hugo's tail was signif shorter in life + u could actually see his mouth/nose + his horns weren't blue + his eyes were blue but not nearly that saturated.
• Specifically with hugo, his proportions (limbs+tail) are not stable. also the stripe markings on his limbs/tail change like ripples in water. His eye placement + horn lenght/shape is also unstable. is this partly an excuse for me not to care how on-model i draw him, yes. is it also fun and cool, yes.
