After a heated argument, Naya and Lan decided to take the child in, prioritizing his safety over the success of their mission. As they later discovered, he had no memory of anything before they found him in the crate, not even his name, only a passion to one day become a successful pilot and claim the skies and eventually space for himself, which ultimately earned him the nickname "Sky".
