Jiro is a mysterious character, elusive and cold. He doesn’t quite enjoy the company of others, preferring to spend his time alone. This self-isolation does come with its downsides, however, as Jiro often feels lonely and unsatisfied. Deep down, Jiro is desperate for validation and attention, despite never admitting these feelings aloud. As a mythic "Gumiho", a nine-tailed fox who preys on the energy of humans, Jiro is constantly wary and untrusting of others. His only influence being his distant, stoic Father.

Despite his secret yearning for an ordinary life, Jiro harbours a deep-rooted hatred for society, mainly stemming from the loss of his mother, who abandoned him and his father upon the discovery of his father’s origins. In a twist, however, Jiro acts as a sort of vigilante in his spare time, taking the energy necessary for his continued living only from those who have committed crimes, or, in other words, crooks and villains. He does this without his father’s knowledge, who believes Jiro will kill anyone for what he needs. Even with his twisted desires and notions of what life should be like, deep down, Jiro is a kind soul, someone who was forced into terrible circumstances, but will stand up for what is right at all costs.
