One of my characters for Skailla's comic, No North. Basil runs a failing landscaping company in Oddwind, having fallen on hard times since the town has become more arid over the years. Known as "ol' Greenie" to the locals, he is passionate about plant life and wishes to bring about a new renaissance of green to the town. 

NAME MEANING 
A name of Greek origin. Along with referring to the eponymous herb, Basil also translates to “royal” and “kingly". His surname is a pun on "Greenwood", a surname which refers to those who live near... well, a green wood.
