Connor has permanent resting bitch face. Bad. He's not necessarily always pissed off or mad at something, but his face constantly shows otherwise and so people tend to find him pretty unapproachable at first glance. He's finishing up his double major with an art degree (with a track in fine/studio arts/gallery work and conservation) and a second degree in graphic design. He is primarily an oil painter, but also enjoys making product labels and website graphics. He is an RA and a TA on campus, so a lot of freshmen are spooked by him and his mean mug but he's popular with professors.

You'd think Connor is haphazard, exhausted, and burnt out like many of his school counterparts but he's surprisingly well rested. He goes to bed by 11PM and makes every effort to get a full night's rest. He learned his lesson after one semester of poor time management. If it's bed time, he's going to tell you to shut the fuck up so he can go to sleep. He only stays up really late if it's absolutely necessary and gets progressively more infuriated if he has to. People can immediately tell the difference between a rested Connor and a Connor on the sleepless warpath- get out of his way if it's the latter.

His favorite drinks are iced cofee with almond milk and peach tea.

Connor was raised vegan and continues to be vegan despite moving out away from parental influence. He's not particularly annoying about it, but people can be annoying towards him about it because they think it's some kind of joke? Or they want him to eat animal products for some reason? It can be really rude at times considering he's not much of a converter- it's just his lifestyle. He really likes to cook and impress people with good vegan cuisine (you too can unlock a yummy time at friendship level 100) and his favorite foods are veggie poke bowls, grilled portobello mushrooms, and butternut squash (in like every conceivable form). He also enjoys his fair share of the occasional vegan "junk food" or will use meat substitutes. He carefully researches all art brands he uses to make sure the products are cruelty free, which can be very difficult as an oil painter. His jacket is pleather, sometimes going to resteraunts is a pain, he's got mixed opinions about beekeeping, and just wants to eat all the yummies and continue to be sustainable and cruelty free.

Connor has a strained relationship with his parents and a really good relationship with his older sister Rainbow (35). His father had a good career as an engineer, but ultimately was a product of the 60's and 70's. He hitchhiked his way out West and met Mrs. Barnes in the back of a Sportsman van on the way over. He became enamored with her free spirit, crafty prowess, love of animals, and love for activism and justice. They were married in an unofficial ceremony and later married in an official state-recognized ceremony around the time Connor was born. They are both quintessential hippie dippie types who live on a small farm with a lot of different animals, don't own a dining room table, and begrudgingly participate in the capitalist machine only when they have to. Their hearts are in the right place, but they are often insufferable to their children who are both extremely practical, modern, and like amenities. Rainbow left at 18 and became a corporate lawyer and doesn't speak to her parents except during holidays. She and Connor have an extremely tight knit relationship and she actually pays for him to be at school because their parents support Connor making art, but constantly question his motives and if he's being a "sellout".

Even if his sister is helping him out, Connor is extremely fiscally responsible and saves as much money as possible. He doesn't care much about material goods and would rather have supplies, tasty food, or experiences. People used to make fun of his hair, but he's rocking it long and proud now- LONG HURR DON'T CURR. The color comes from his dad, but the texture is closer to his mom's hair.

Relationships for Connor can be tough because he's extremely bullheaded, likes to get his way, and doesn't compromise easily. He CAN be nice, kind-hearted, and very loving but unfortunately you have to work for it and also really try to break him of his jealous, possessive bad habits. He's very dominant in the bedroom but also likes to show whomever a wild good time...so he ain't selfish by any means lol. He doesn't have a preference for if his partners are vegan or not- but an ideal long term relationship would be with someone who is or is at least very adventurous with food. He values time spent alone and time spent together and enjoys having quiet time to paint.

Connor is secretly pretty self-conscious and doesn't want to fail at anything. He has a lot of vision and focus and knows what he wants and will get upset if projects don't turn out exactly how he wants. He really struggles to take critique and oftentimes will butt heads pretty hard with other artists and even professors. He will defend his own work quite savagely and returns harsh words with equally harsh remarks. It's quite a sour attitude, but both parties are at least usually right and some growth occasionally occurs. It was very hard for him to stop trying to make EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF ART PERFECT.

Overall, a good rattlesnake until you start pestering him.
