Appearance
Ceros is a bipedal robot that was manufactured to be used in research and rescue of dangerous, non-habitable, and hard to access places for human beings. There are other robots like her, manufactured with some changed parts or color schemes to separate them from their other iterations. They're an agile and lightweight model.
Cero has a faceplate resembling the face of a rhinoceros, divided into a metallic surface below her eye level and into a screen on top of the eye level. Her synthetic animal-like ears make wild animals less wary of her, as their movements are programmed to resemble that of real animals. Her screen can illuminate in different types of light above, across and below the color range visible to the human eye, which can be used to find objects and animals through debris or thick atmospheres.
Ceros' body consists of a core (chest piece), a center of balance (coccyx piece), a prehensile tail and two sets of removable limbs that can be switched for arms and/or legs more suitable to different terrains or types of research. Her basic limbs are constructed with flexibility and lightness in mind, having a good part of their components exposed to the elements, with a simple solid case covering their frontal sides. Once a new part is connected to the body, it will start shining a light in the same colors as the eyes and core. If the colors do not match, it might be a sign that the core's software is rejecting the new limb because it's missing an update or because the code is faulty. When connected wirelessly to a researcher or another party, the chest lights will flash yellow. When the battery is running out, one of the lights will appear red. With a full charge, Ceros' body has an autonomy of 8 to 10 hours.
Losing limbs does not pose a problem for Ceros' integrity - as long as the core remains in good condition, she can be rebuilt. This piece is the center of her programming and cannot be accessed by anyone without the proper key to dissassemble the core's case. The high density plastics and metals used to manufacture her body pieces are coated with a layer that makes them waterproof and very hard to rust.
Personality
Ceros doesn't have a set personality programmed into her, and can be reprogrammed to behave differently depending on her desired use.
