Trivia
- Dayreign has a supervisor in charge of all of her assignments. He's eager to put her in difficult situations for some reason, but he would swear it's to help her learn.
- While she has three sets of wings, she can't fly with any of them. One pair must be used to cover her eyes, another to shield her face and cover her mouth, and the last pair on her back are used to protect and shield her ward. Her Protection wings are too underdevelopted to work as intended.
- While she can't use her Protection wings for flight, there are some exceptions to this rule. One being that if her ward is in immediate danger, she may use her wings to quickly close the distance between them.
- If an angel uses wings any way other than their intended purpose, outside of the exceptions, it's seen as blasphomy and they will stand trial before their Supervisor and superiors. If charged guilty the angel will lose their wings and be send to the world they were last in to live out the rest of their days.
Story
Dayreign was sent to earth on her first assignment, but as she arrived she lost communication with the heavens and never found out who her ward was! She searched for her ward, eventually finding her. Little did she know, her Ward was the reason she couldn't contact the heavens. They spent some time together but eventually Etherea goes back home and she gets murdered by some adventurers. After failing, Dayreign is sent to a world without an end, where she will protect her second ward.
While Dayreign is an ordinary Guardian Angel, she did well in school and so she was unknowingly trusted with quite the difficult ward.
She didn’t have many friends, but the ones she did have meant the world to her. During lunch she’d sit out by the gates and watch what was happening below with her friends, talking about how much fun it could be. She began to think of all the things she might do if she were a human.
Upon graduating, Dayreign was given her first assignment and sent down to the world they belonged to, only for connection to cut off when she reached the ground. No matter how much she tried, she couldn’t get back in contact.
As Dayreign settled on earth, she began to search for her ward. She knew from school that she would know immediately who that is - a sort of angel sense - so all she had to do was stay patient and search.
The longer she searched, the more comfortable she began to be in her new home. She had even built herself a nice cottage, started a farm and planted some flowers to tend.
As she travelled in search of her ward, she heard stories from those native to this world about a dragon at the end of the world. Curious, Dayreign had decided to set off in search for this dragon. The moment she entered the portal to the end, she felt that sense. The closer she got to the dragon, the stronger it became. The dragon, perched upon a strange bedrock fountain, met her gaze and smiled.
Etherea, The dragon at the end of the world, was her ward. She was quick to assume her position of guarding them, pestering them to stay close and even to come back to the cottage they had built. After a long while of persisting, Etherea agreed.
Upon arriving back at Dayreigns home, and inadvertently being praised for freeing the end, Dayreign set up a room for the dragon to stay in. She cooked her meals every day, went adventuring with her, visited the farmers market together, eventually they became pretty close friends.
One day though, Etherea wanted to go home, and left in the middle of the night without a word. When Dayreign woke the next day, she began a long search for her friend and ward. She searched everywhere, eventually ending up at the end again. There on the main island were adventurers kitted out in ancient armour and weapons, threatening, shooting and attacking Etherea. The fight was over before she knew it, a heart wrenching sound echoing through the void and all the way to the heavens.
Dayreign failed to protect her ward. The communication with heaven was restored and she was told to return.
As a second assignment, Dayreign was sent to a different world. This time, the interference wasn’t muddled. That’s because this world had no end.
Her ward this time was simple enough, it was Osiris Seth. Now she lives off in the middle of nowhere in a farmhouse she built, though with a bunker to prepare for anything that might want to hurt her ward. She won’t fail again!

Etherea was Dayreigns previous ward, and though she tried her hardest to protect her, it wasn't enough to stop the inevitable.
While together, they got along well. They were friends! Life was peaceful together, and it pains her to remember those days.
Osiris is Dayreigns current ward. They don't get along very well, and at first Dayreign thought her supervisor was punishing her for failing by giving her Osiris as a ward.
After a while of travelling together, Dayreign realised that Osiris might actually need her help in some things.
Dayreign doesn't know Cyril very well, and she doesn't make a habit of judging people based on what they were born as, but she's sure Cyril is a bad influence on Osiris.
While she'd never admit it, she finds that she actually enjoys his chaotic company.
