On the outside, Virgil is an intelligent, social, and outgoing guy. He's arrogant, sure, but he's such a tortured artist - can you really blame him? Wherever Virgil goes, he carries an air of importance with him. He surely has a right to be so self-obsessed when he's such a wealthy, talented man.

Working with Virgil is intense, and not for the faint of heart. He's absolutely in love with all his stars, to the point that he wants to own every aspect of them. It's all for the greater good, of course. He cares so much about their well-being and fame, and only he knows what's best for them. Virgil thinks of himself as the perfect artist, and of his clients as canvases for him to paint on - which is a bit frightening, considering the graphic, visceral types of art he's into.

Virgil is a deeply cruel and sadistic person. He has an incredible lack of empathy and a genuine desire to watch the world burn. He thinks people are inherently evil, and views himself as an enlightened harbinger of justice - someone doing the wrong things for the right reasons. He is extremely entitled and believes he is owed love, money, and pretty much everything under the sun. When something slips out of his grasp, he will never be satisfied until he has it.

BACKSTORY

past

Virgil grew up in comfortable wealth, extremely spoiled by his parents materially, but also emotionally neglected. A lot of his issues stem from his childhood - he became rather entitled, and any preexisting troubles he had were allowed to fester in his solitude. Virgil doesn't "get" love, and often equates it with a combination of possession and emotional neglect.

From his youth into young adulthood, Virgil was a liar, a creep, and generally unpleasant to be around. Seen as an outcast and a nerd for almost his entire childhood, Virgil was excluded, but never properly helped or humbled. He attempted to pursue songwriting in college, but after a series of unfortunate events involving a girl he had a crush on, became too humiliated to continue down that path. This led to him switching to the business side of things, although a part of him still really longs to be on stage.

present

Aided by his intelligence as well as his family's wealth giving him a head start in his career, Virgil has become an incredibly powerful music mogul, considered a titan of the industry. Despite having a record label and several popular bands under his belt, however, he still craves more.

Virgil's hunger will never truly be satiated until the world that he believes scorned him belongs to him. His most successful band, The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, is about to go on their world tour, and he has them wrapped around his finger, ready to use their influence to his own benefit at a moment's notice.

RELATIONS

Brody client / ex...?

Brody caught Virgil's eye immediately, and his attention quickly evolved into obsession. After signing Brody's band to his label, the two began a dubious "friends-with-benefits" relationship that would last for a few years. Virgil absolutely hates Brody - he finds his gullibility pathetic, and thinks of him as your average "mean jock" type, so he uses intimacy to manipulate Brody and make him miserable. What they have isn't healthy at all, and Virgil relishes in withdrawing his affections frequently to make Brody suffer. Part of Virgil might find Brody cute, at most, but he has no real love for the man at all. Regardless, Brody is his favorite member of the band - Virgil does really admire his talent, and longs for the man to let him play on stage with the Horsemen one day.

Vivian client

Out of Virgil's clients, Vivian is the one he has the most genuine affection towards, although it's not exactly romantic. They've tried that a few times, and hated it - it's something else that draws him to her. She was really underground when he first found her, and he changed her life by bringing her to the band. Vivian knows Virgil is the worst, but he is a bit of a shoulder for her to cry on, even if they fight and make up over and over again. They're both pretty reckless, unhinged people, and like attracts like, for better or for worse.
