Murky Thoughts

A creature which lurks through swampy waters alone, treading through mud and plant alike, just barely peeking above the water's surface. The plumes on its neck and back mimic the common reeds of its territory, are the only thing that most can see from afar- making many assume that it's nothing but some plants flowing in the water. But as its bright, piercing eyes emerge from the depths, instantly, you know you aren't alone.
