Uncle survived, she started taking kickboxing classes at his insistence on top of keeping up with her cheering.
Still super intelligent, got the idea to start fighting crime and came up with the gadgets she needed.
Remembered the bite from a spider and decided that would be her outfit, has no powers from said bite.
Most villains from her universe aren't super-powered and it doesn't require her to be super-charged, so it balances out.
Neighbor is a total nerd but they're on good terms, pretty sure she's got a crush on her tho.
