Visual Description: Y5 is a humanoid alien, about the size and shape of a teenage girl. She has bright orange skin, gold eyes with plus shaped pupils, a flat nose, and long pointed ears that look somewhat bat-like. She also has two antenna on her head, with yellow stars at the ends. she has messy teal-green hair, often styled asymmetrically and randomly. Her nails are the same teal color. She wears layered clothing that is mismatched and also asymmetrical. Y5 tends to wear stripes, stars, and neon colors.

Y5 is Kari's roommate and best friend. She crashed her spaceship in Kari's backyard two years ago. Y5 is peppy and fun-loving but tends to be anxious. Her favorite thing on Earth is the fictional depiction of aliens as little green men - she finds it very adorable of humans. She enjoys walking through the forest because it reminds her of her home planet. For the same reason, she loves crystals. She misses her home planet, but also loves Earth because it's where she made friends for the first time!

Y5's home planet is mostly lush forests, dotted with utopic cities. The people of her species live more in harmony with nature than humans do. They can feed on sunlight for certain periods of time, which is the reason for their greenish keratin, along with some plantlike genetic traits. The plant cells in their bodies play a similar role to the miocrobes that help humans digest and such. Getting sunlight is considered part of a balanced diet for them. Their view of "life" is different from that of humans, considering more things to be "alive" and warranting respect and care. For example many of them would treat a machine or computer like a living thing, and might become very sad if it breaks.
