Dillpaw is a stocky, burly young tom with soft fur. It is not thick, and does not keep warmth in. Their tail is on the shorter side, with twirling tufts of fur at the base. They have pretty prominent eyebrows, and short ears.
Their tabby markings are twiny, wrapping around their figure like vines. Speckles are also scattered around their pelt. Dillpaw's eyes are a sharp, bright orange like that of pockets of amber.
He has a relatively normal story, but does have his own traumas! There are mentions of character death and possible mental health issues. ᅳ Viewer discretion is advised

Dillpaw's mind is very much a left-brained one. Everything he does, he thinks of beforehand. Dillpaw may take a very long time to think, or he might not. But this gives way to snarky responses and sarcasm, though most of the things they say in these tones are not meant to be hateful or anything. They have a pretty silver-tongued attitude, and finds themself correcting others many times. They are not smart enough to be considered a nerd... like Mulchpaw is, but they do know enough to be considered a stickler for logical thought.

Dillpaw is incredibly sincere to everyone. They believe that lying is a waste of time, and therefore will never do anything remotely untruthful. White lies and lies to keep others safe are equally as much of a waste. The downside to this is the fact that he can tell someone something bluntly insulting, and not know what he did to hurt them. They also are a buzzkill when it comes to rebellious acts... especially since their mentor is the leader herself.

- It's not entirely a bad thing. They are quite good at compliments.

In a bad situation, where their fight or flight response is activated, all of Dillpaw's thought-process and logical thinking disappears. Some actions they take during times like these are often naive and will be observed with embarrassment in later times. As well, their fight-or-flight is usually fluctuant, and really depends on the situation. They might also freeze in a dire circumstance, though this is not usual.
NOTES
- Some things are not observed with embarrassment, he thinks the effort he took to save his former mentor was a good thing to do... though, their mentor may have already been dead before they even got there.

TRACKING
Due to their complete colorblindness, Dillpaw had shown exceptional skill at tracking and scent. Dillpaw can find a mouse fox-lengths away and catch it with ease.
DODGING
Since they grew up in the forest, Dillpaw had to duck and dive under branches and jump over fallen trees ever since they started training as an apprentice. Something they find pride in is the ability to run underneath roots that show themselves from underneath the ground. Dillpaw uses this in battle or combat, but sometimes they have to remember that their opponents can move.

- Dillpaw has complete colorblindness, meaning he sees everything in greyscale. They like to play tricks on kits and tell them that ordinary things are not the color they seem to see, like how the sky is green and leaves are bright purple.
- They have impaired hearing in their left ear.
- Dillpaw mimics other cats they're around, but this may look like mocking sometimes! Don't worry, you'll know when they're mocking someone.

CHAPTER 01
PREMIERE
"I can see them..." He had lied.
Dillpaw had a relatively easy life growing up. Their whole entire kithood was spent in GroveClan's camp. It was mostly spent trying to figure out his life, though, due to the fact that he could only see through greyscale, while every other cat in his family saw differently. Words like "Green" and "Purple" kept showing up in their vocabulary, and all they could do was pretend to know what they were talking about. Eventually, they began to learn the different words, but never got to associate them with anything. Dillpaw felt extremely estranged due to this.
APPRENTICESHIP II.
CHAPTER 02
The War
"Stormballad, wake up."
The first battle was at the beginning of Dillpaw's apprenticeship, meaning they had not had a lot of learning beforehand, if any at all. Most of the battle was spent running and trying to get out, but the rogues had swarmed in through the entrance. Dillpaw did get away, though, but found their mentor underneath a large bush. They had shocked it at first, but the two eventually were able to get away when the PeakClan cats arrived. Dillpaw, combined with Stormballad's strained effort, hauled him to the Basin where only a couple of cats were there, waiting for medicine cats that would probably never arrive. Dillpaw huddled up next Stormballad for the time that the medicine cats started to begin running to the Basin. This was where Dillpaw had the realization that THEY saw differently, not just everyone else. It was when the medicine cat, Pigeonface, asked them to grab a green oak leaf. All he could work with was the shape of the leaf, and not the color. The whole time, he was muttering about how privileged the other cats were to be able to see things correctly, and a newfound regret for it came.
After this battle, GroveClan was divided between the two other clans, PeakClan and MeadowClan. Dillpaw was separated from Stormballad, as it had went to MeadowClan instead of PeakClan. His mother, Pistachiopuff, had also made that decision, but Dillpaw was able to live with his brother, Algaepaw and his mom, Shrubtail. Dillpaw constantly asked the two questions about what color the pond is or what colors the rocks are. He also asked his temporary mentor, Frozenrunner, what color his pelt was. They were ecstatic when he told them that it was black and white.
The second battle was not better. Dillpaw was able to fight this time, but at the cost of scars littering their pelt. The little apprentice was never really all that good at battling and combat. The most they could do was land a few scratches on the big cats' pelts and run away. In the midst of running away, Dillpaw decided it'd be a better use of their time trying to search for their mentor. They knew that it'd be better if they had Stormballad by their side in all this. Dillpaw took to the battlefield once more, and then began searching the edges of camp. The search ended poorly. Dillpaw found Stormballad's body underneath the leaning tree, and after a few minutes of frantic worrying, Dillpaw dragged Stormballad to the medicine cats. The medicine cats had to tell them that it had passed before they even got there, sending Dillpaw into a spiral.
