Profile

True name | Nald'thal
Coil Name | Amalthea (or literally anything else)

Jobs "taken up" |

  • Nald ; Monk, Dragoon, Samurai, Ninja, White Mage, Dancer, Scholar, Red Mage, Bard
  • Thal ; Black mage, Sage, Reaper, Astrologian, Summoner, Bard, Machinist
  • Tanks, specifically Gunbreaker/Warrior - are manned by both twins, combining their strength to wield the arms. Dark Knight is mostly focused by Thal, and Paladin is mostly focused by Nald. Though Warrior happens to be their favorite.
(Focused with her divine self) : She actually can't master dragoon, samurai, ninja, viper, & dancer, too much mobility, suffers her physical ailments. Tank jobs are rough too, she doesn't have a good grasp on healing magic. LOVES Warrior though :)
  • Rhalgr taught her the ways of monk, that strains her body a lot less. So its easier!
  • Oschon taught her bard (because she's his little sibling).
  • Halone taught her Machinist (because Oschon refused too, also her fave. The God of Death pulls out a glock, wyd?).
  • She's still heavily associated with Black Mage.
  • Reaper for Nald'thal isn't like a mortal's voidsent pact - instead mastered by Thal, with her role over Death.

Both Twins have a big fascination for Blue Mage, it develops further post 6.5. Martyn enjoys showing her the tricks of it... (Apokalysis best spell)

Separate from my other coil tab, thats locked. I might rewrite some things/etc. etc.

Im tryna think if Martyn considered uhh. Nald'thal using a mortal disguise & bearing a mortal name, for public traveling

given her difficult history n past with mankind (cult behavior, the previous house of the Order of Nald'thal, successfully imprisoning their god. Use/abuse relationship when she wouldn't grant them the answers they wanted, started harvesting her blood, blamed her as the root cause for mysterious deaths, & decided to seal her prison so she'd be forgotten. Kept their version of Nald'thal as the "real thing". She's miserable, its a wee bit bloodborne inspired). n the beast giving him like. a lot of names she scribbled around

n its like. hm.

She does take up multiple mortal coils, but she chooses the mooncat one the most, because Menphina being a big supporter for her & to keep her tail but not appear...? unusual

She's horrible with names though, that I think out of the list, Martyn would've decided 'Amalthea' was it, pick for her.

Below this spoiler is MY Nald'thal, the god. My interpretation is scattered around on other social medias, but profiles + ideas are private. She's been my pookie since before 6.1 & solidified in 6.1. She means everything to me...

Praise be the Gods have fallen
Fear me and heal the rotten

notes on my Beast, my Nald'thal. Some things, not many, everything else remains key locked.

She is my darling, my beast, my beloved freak. She means everything to me. (in game Nald'thal & the Aglaia fight has helped me a lot with severe depression & self harm tendencies, so... this character as a whole means everything to me, n I've gripped my interpretation since ffxiv 6.1 dropped. Overall she's helped me through suicidal mindsets).

Beast is transgender, written nonbinary? Pronouns mean nothing to gods, its just what sounds neat. he/she/they/it/god/whatever , call them bastards, they'll think its fine.

  • Nald'thal, the Traders, Gods of Commerce - Twin gods, etc. Have a twist to them, like big oversized cats . Weird Pandaemonium concepts of Athena, considered failed & flawed, ascended godhood instead of her, back during the Final Days.  Uhh.. still the 12th n last of the Pantheon.
  • Sometimes referred as the 'God of Death' , throw in 'God of Struggle' &  'God of Blood'
  • Forever chronically ill beasts, but its fine, she vibes
  • Built like Ragdoll & Pallas cats, probably Proto Carbuncle too, maybe wyrms, a lot of things. They're extremely weird.
  • Ul'dah's special cat. Might sneeze on you
  • Twins feel unworthy of their own ascension, n see themselves as monsters & worshipped in a fear standard. They live a complicated lifestyle, fear origins
  • eats spiders, maybe other things. a threat to anything fatally dangerous to mankind.
  • Thalassophobia, Acrophobia, & Basophobia haver, very complicated.
Nald'thal has nasty flesh wounds, that will never heal - sometimes depicted as consequences to the role over the dead. Also has wounds along the thighs (personal reasons), n 2 other injuries ; one along the throat & another along the stomach, these were Aglaia mishaps. (subject to no longer limit wounds to Thal, they're the same for Nald, its only right he gets them too, all besides thigh scars!).

Ingame slang/curses ; (what's with mortals & doing this to Thal, she goes through enough).

  • Thal's Balls - ingame curse, also references selective things (her yarn ball collection, pwease no being weird. It's my least favorite phrase).
  • Thal's bowels - ??? I saw a lalafell say this ingame ("Where in Thal's bowels have you been?"), I guess it works out if. my Nald'thal kinda devours mortals. Mankind is bullying her with these.

Likes | Simple things

  • Pastries! Cranberry/Lemon muffins are her favorite. Bread might count here, too.
  • Pasta (fiend).
  • Warmth, generally a comfortable setting. Fireplaces, pikes of blankets & pillows, soft carpet, anything around there.
  • Plants & flowers! Especially hanging decor for rooms... she slowly adds to her bedchambers in the Pantheon, something to be more personal & secluded.
  • Rain or sounds of running water in fountains. She may have severely feared water, but slowly grows accustomed to it (aside the ocean). These sounds help clear her mind.
  • Useless trinkets ; plushies, old books, jewels, jewelry, old coin, etc. she's a wyrm at heart.
  • Bones
  • Quiet environments - her bedchambers & archives especially (twins have separated, but connected rooms within their Realm). While Aglaia was a lively experience for them, putting them in good spirits, it slowly grew mentally exhausting.
  • Fish (the best fish observer, she will stare at a pond for hours)
  • Rocks! She's always held a fascination for various types of ore. Often collects different rocks she digs up.
  • Being a little mischievous - specifically towards Oschon, her older brother. She was fascinated by mortal craftsmanship of the Wind-up Halone, and with a bout of mischief, tinkered together the Wind-up Oschon. (much to his dismay, he eventually accepts her little creation).
  • Snuggle? As best she can? Anything that just allows her to collapse & have her head held by someone.
  • Candles, even ones that smell like vanilla! (French Vanilla/mocha, cinnamon roll  lavender, she might like apple cinnamon too).
  • She likes moogles! (Oschon hates them)

Dislikes | Simple things

  • Cold, chilly winds.
  • Orange marmalade (its bad).
  • BIG CITRUS HATER (her medicine tastes like citrus, forced to take it, or her illness causes another rot plague outbreak on mortal soil... careless 1 time).
  • Loud environments. While Nald may sometimes be extroverted, both twins are introverted by nature. They're often quiet & hold a judgmental, stern, and intimidating appearance to them.
  • Being wet - pushed into any body of water or being left in the rain. (she's a cat, she's not 100% over her fear, she does not like being a sopping wet beast).
  • Snow, its complicated. She'll still sprint through it (especially to visit Halone & Menphina). Has to put extra protection on her paws, to avoid them bleeding & frostbite. Coerthas does have her curiosity at times...

Trauma triggers | Either her origins or Imprisonment by the Order

  • Very specific worship, continued devotion in her name. She's normally fine with mortals still viewing her a beloved/respected Deity, but not the obsessive devotion, that results in blood rituals, sacrifices, etc.
  • Man-made animal traps, this includes iron jaws. While these are not meant for her, sometimes they trigger a panicked, fight/flight response. Sometimes may lead to more damage on her, if she tries to frantically free herself....
  • Vials of her blood - there are still known vials around Ul'dah, Thanalan, n much to her dismay... other places too. This was due to hefty black market trading, a massive sum of gil per vial. The Sultan Sworn continues to search for the last remaining vials, so they can lock these items up for good... (her blood is fatal to mortals, avoid any... attempts of manslaughter/assassination, Ul'dah's Fucked Up).
  • Any attention towards her thigh scars, these were caused by the Order's demand for her blood (imprisonment), they're self mutilation. She just wants to be loved.
  • Anything that references her as being a major mistake.
  • Sharp objects, especially daggers when wielded by those she struggles to trust.
> God but with a lot of issues. many of them. also god of the dead. While Nald'thal, this is specifically Thal. The equivalent to a miserable animal, but thriving
> Transgender, written nonbinary. literally anything - he/she/they/it/whatever all fine! This is a god anyway.
> Got a lil fang that sticks out, usually the right fang! (Nald's is the left fang) their left/right
> Interpret horns as you please, I like seeing how people draw them based on my art! Whether sharp/pointy edges or broken, its all fun to me
> Chronically sick pandaemonium concept (her origins make her THE God of Death, but as a concept). Made of rot & death, Athena's first concept. Deemed flawed & failed, forever true. She sometimes vomits pieces of rot & flesh...... but thriving nonetheless. Arms & legs have wounds that never heal, bleed often. Like if skin was never placed there. (sleeves/socks hide the bloodied bandaging), contributes to chronic pains, sometimes intense - walking hurts, running is trivial.
Throat & stomach wounds are Aglaia mishaps, thigh scars are deeply personal.
> Thal suffers from Thalassophobia (pandae drowning experiments)

Her theme (beastie wise. one of them)

Behold the hateful god upon his throne. Your failures made flesh.

Nald'thal built like a bloodborne boss. Very cat-like, but also if a cat couldn't land on their paws (incredibly clumsy at times).

she's not mentally ill, she's mentally eel

> God who also has a lot of issues, also Keeper of the Living. While Nald'thal, this is focused towards Nald!
> Transgender, written nonbinary. literally anything - he/she/they/it/whatever all fine! This is a god anyway.

Throat & stomach wounds are Aglaia mishaps. Nald does not have thigh scars.
> Can be more energetic than Thal, though prone to overexertion & overheating. He gets bouts of dizziness.
> Nald suffers both Acrophobia & Basophobia

Her theme (beastie wise. one of them)

Behold the hateful god upon his throne. Your failures made flesh.

Horns are shaped like a crown, draw them how you're comfortable though! Also 2 different colors, I have my own alternative & the one closer to the game's....
Hair can also just be really fluffy, poofy, etc. There is no way it gets combed or brushed, with the placement of his horns.
