Beirut hails from a clan in the lands of Light, born from her Shade-corrupted witchmother who, after taking over the host clan, now rules it with an iron fist and seeks to spread the malevolent influence of the Shade to all corners of Sorneith. Her most important tools are her children, both with pale skin and dark markings, and many of them come with some talent or another in dance and seduction.She also inherited her mother's dark crown horns in addition to the horns normal Imperials grow.

Beirut was born a twin, each with a capabilty in aerial silk dancing, producing promising shows and displays of incredible athletic ability as they seduced and corrupted targets towards the Shade. However like all children of Braen, she was cast out to find a clan of her own and continue the dominion of her mother. How she ended up in the relentless and unforgiving desert of the Shifting Expanse no one really knows; and how she convinced the clanmother to let her in is an even greater secret. Like all members of Mesaspire Beirut is expected to work to earn her place in the secretive lair, so on top of being the clan's foremost Shade expert (so goes her cover story), she entertains her fellow clanmembers and performs at festival gatherings, as well as teaching agility and flexibility.
