Personality

No one who knows Keahi can say that they're tame, at least not without lying. One conversation with them is enough to put those ideas to rest, if not one meeting. Keahi is fiery, from their way of speaking to their very attide. Even their art reflects this, through large canvases and vibrant colors.

He isn't the brightest tool in the shed, but that doesn't stop him. For all his creativity, this summoner constantly forgets he can also desummon his tools of the trade. Seeing as said tools aren't exactly legal in the hands of someone painting the sides of Unity's many buildings. His siblings aren't too fond of bailing him out all the time, but that isn't going to stop him from doing anything aside from simply throw away his paints to retrieve later.

Keahi is a very stubborn individual. She will not let anything stand in the way of her creative genius, be it the laws of Cholpon or the laws of physics themselves. Sure, she still needs to find some way around it, but so long as others question how she did it, she considers it a win. If she has a message, the world will know it, whether they want to hear it or not.

They put their all into everything they do. Very few can truly deny that, especially when they see Keahi in action. When they paint, they'll use as much space as they can manage. When they buy gifts for friends, they'll ask those closest to them what they'd like the most. And if anyone hurts their friends, they better pray to whatever god they believe in that Keahi never finds out: They'll give their all to make sure they pay for whatever harm they caused.

Trivia

  • They came up with a little turn of phrase they spraypaint everywhere in Unity to poke fun at the Blackjacks. One officer lets them do it, and they're constantly riding the high that someone in law enforcement is inadvertently endorsing their graffiti.
  • She's unofficially adopted a street dog she lovingly calls Fetch, if only because that's the first thing the big guy did. Even if he fetches her supplies when she tries to ditch them while being chased by cops. She's pretty sure his breed is just "mutt" but loves him anyways.
  • He's spent some time in a cell for spray painting things, if only because he keeps forgetting he can desummon his spray paint supplies.
  • They don't have insomnia, but will often wake up during the night and hang with their friends anyways. They call their group "The Quad" because there are four of them when they're together.
  • She has a chaotic house to match her chaotic nature. She enlisted Clover's help to ensure her house is stable and, in turn, capable of being lived in without the place collapsing on them.
  • He loves spending his free time back home adding to his new house, be it new room designs, new furniture, or just painting new things.
Design Notes

  • They have a paint respirator they customized just for themselves. They only really wear this when they go out at night to add some more "art" to Unity.
  • She'll often wear worn out clothes so she isn't too torn up about whether they get paint on them or not.
  • He has cheap sneakers, mostly in case he loses one while running. Doesn't hurt as much to replace it that way.
  • They often have their hair tied back to keep it out of their face when painting (or running).
  • She almost always has some paint on her somewhere, likely from her last outing (or from painting her home).
Lore

Keahi doesn't remember much of their early childhood. A loud laugh, a gentle smile, and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies are all they have before everything becomes muddy. By the time the dust settled, they were in a strange place surrounded by other kids who, apparently, didn't have parents. They thought it was silly to be there, since they remembered they had parents once, but they never saw them again.

She spent a good chunk of her childhood in Hope Town Orphanage, quickly rising in popularity among the other kids there. The older she got, the more they looked up to her for advice and support when it came to the system itself. She'd seen a few kids come and go, always a little hurt when she was looked over, but she made sure to hide it for the sake of the other kids. She decided she needed to be even better, more than just a cute face. The staff regretted ever letting her near the paints as she quickly adapted them into her arsenal to express herself. She couldn't be overlooked if she made everything about herself big, bright, and loud.

Eventually, he decided he didn't need to be adopted out. He had his paints, he had the other kids who stuck around, and he knew his way to the big city a short trek over. He took to sneaking out at night at the age of ten, enjoying the nightlife of Unity from alleys and rooftops. He'd often come back from his night trips with little things in tow, from abandoned plushes found on side streets to sweets left unattended at storefronts. He was never truly caught, though the orphanage staff always seemed to be upset whenever they found new paint smears on him and not a single painted door or wall in sight.

It came as a surprise to them when, one day, a pair of twins were found waiting in the lobby. Keahi was wary, of course, when they were approached with a slip to sign. That wariness swiftly turned to shock when the pair informed them that they were going to adopt Keahi. Some of the caretakers tried to warn the two, of course. Keahi was a troublemaker, sneaking out and painting everything in sight. Not to mention the fiery attitude they'd passed on to their newest friend, a little girl named Jazz. That didn't deter them, however, and by the time Keahi had turned twelve, they'd become a member of the Lanur household. They'd asked about Jazz, of course, but were told the two couldn't afford to adopt her at the time. So, reluctantly, Keahi moved out to Unity.

It was hard for her, at least at first. The twins hardly slept, and tried to warm her up to her new home in the city. They thought she'd struggle to settle in, but were surprised to find her staying up alongside them, watching the hustle and bustle outside their appartment. They were convinced she wasn't as bad as the orphanage staff said she was until, one night, she simply disappeared. They didn't notice at first, with one being sleep deprived and the other fighting off exhaustion from work that day. It was only when she returned a few hours before dawn that they even knew she'd left. They questioned her, of course, but in the end had to drop it. She wasn't about to tell them about her trip out into the city, her rooftop shenanigans and her new paint smears were a story for her and her alone. They didn't need to know about the little plush bunny left a town over, or the little note tucked in it's arms that simply said "I haven't forgotten you all. -KH" in smudged ink. That was her rebellious little secret.
