Before the infection, Looney was just a freeloader who lived by herself in her house in Ponyville. She would do chores for vendors so she could get food and other nessesities to survive off of and in her spare time she would spend time either pranking other ponies, making friends around town or exploring what seemed like endless fields while picking flowers. She has no known family at the moment and to her knowledge.

When the infection started, Looney was doing fine for a while before she went out and saw an infected Princess Celestia. In her mind, crazy doesn't screw with crazy so she decided the best choice of action was to flirt with the infected pony. This however led to Celestia tearing her cutie mark off and running away with it, leaving Looney to go home and tend to her wounds while feeling like a huge dumb ass as well.

Looney is an eccentric and entergetic pegasus mare who loves to play pranks on others. She also likes to consider herself a 100% certified rizzler, figuring that if the outbreak is happening then why not try to flirt with the infected? After all, crazy doesn't screw with crazy, right? Looney isn't the bravest pony out there but her dimwitted mind may as well make her brave since she oftentimes doesn't realize when things are threatening, even in the face of danger. She's definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed but she makes up for that with her compassionate heart and soft attitude.

Looney hasn't quite mastered the art of reading the room but she tries to comfort those in need when she does pick up on the situations, but this is rare. Looney is also quite headstrong, not really knowing when to quit being stubborn and just give up on arguing. She only quits arguing when it gets too loud for her but otherwise she can argue for hours. Rarely taking things seriously, Looney is a goofy pony over all. At her best she's a silly, eccentric and compassionate mare and at her worst she's stubborn, argumentative and quite frankly stupid.
