Sławek is a friendly and good-natured person who likes crime stories and has a knack for drawing. Out of the three friends, Sławek is the most amiable one, as Hugo is reserved and Wiktór is a jokester. He is very forgiving and likes to help his flocks as much as he can. Sławek (full name: Sławomir Kaja) is a side character in A Ballad About Silesia during the 1980s arc. He’s a vicar in the Church of Saint Stanislaus Kostka in Giszowiec, a friend and a colleague of Wiktor Zawadzki and Hugo Utwald. Sławek is a secret member of “Solidarność”, the Polish trade union.

Sławek was born to Karina Kaja on November 2nd, 1951, with an unknown father. Due to his mother’s young age, he was mostly raised by his grandparents. He was always a religious person, as his family was as well – at first, they lived in Zabrze, but moved to Katowice when Sławek was 6. After finishing the main education, he left for the seminary. Then he became a vicar in the local perish in Giszowiec and became a member of the “Solidarność” trade union.
