Despite being a young adult at 19, her stern attitude is a result of maintaining a professional front, especially given the hazardous nature of her work. Both her goals and perspective demand this level of professionalism, extending into her personal life. However, beyond her tough exterior, Frankie embodies a strong sense of femininity. She exudes a motherly warmth, complemented by a distinct taste in clothing, makeup, and meticulous housekeeping.
The reason behind Frankie's mature and seemingly thirty-something demeanor stems from a childhood that forced her to grow up prematurely. While this early maturation had its drawbacks, it endowed her with invaluable skills, contributing to her fiercely intelligent nature. Her dedication and intelligence serve as inspiration for many, making her appear charismatic despite her perpetually grumpy expression. Though breaking through Frankie's tough exterior to befriend her is no easy feat, her loyalty to loved ones reveals a softer, more vulnerable side.

Past
Frankie hails from a financially struggling family, compelling her to enter the workforce at a tender age. Despite her parents' initial resistance, her persistent insistence and repeated attempts to seek employment eventually wore them down. At the young age of 9, Frankie embarked on a journey of taking on odd jobs to provide financial support for her family. Several years earlier, her father had incurred a significant debt to cover medical expenses for her mother, who had fallen seriously ill due to contaminated water. Compelled by circumstances in their neighborhood, he borrowed money from a gang. Frankie, determined to alleviate her family's burdens, explored various employment opportunities until she found herself drawn to the lucrative but morally ambiguous world of assassination. The lack of educational requirements, age restrictions, and the allure of substantial financial gains enticed her. After accumulating sufficient funds to repay the debts, Frankie returned home only to find her parents battered and bruised for failing to meet payment deadlines. Fueled by rage, she sought out the responsible thug and, in the process, took his life. The act left her desensitized to the gravity of murder, devoid of any emotional disturbance. As time progressed, Frankie became a globetrotting assassin, navigating continents and countries to fulfill her assignments. One fateful day, she encountered a village known as the Kurta Klan while passing by, visiting the village before it's massacre.
Involvement with the Zoldyck family
By the time Frankie had honed her skills as a professional assassin and mastered her nen ability, she found herself entering into a professional arrangement with the renowned Zoldyck family. Serving as a covert assassin for them, Frankie accepted a modest 30% cut, a term she found agreeable. At the tender age of 14, she crossed paths with the youngest Zoldyck, the enigmatic Killua. Initially harboring a strong aversion to children, Frankie's first impressions of Killua and his siblings were tainted by preconceived notions of privilege and snobbery. Unaware of Killua's tumultuous past, her interactions with him were characterized by indifference. As months and years passed, Frankie continued her work for the Zoldycks, and occasional conversations with Killua sparked a slow transformation in her perception. Their dynamic evolved into a sibling-like friendship, prompting Frankie to reconsider her disdain for children. A soft spot for Killua emerged, akin to a maternal instinct that made her feel as if he were her own son. Unfortunately, their burgeoning connection faced obstacles as Killua's parents sought to isolate him further. Despite this, Frankie and Killua's friendship continued to blossom. The turning point came when Killua, at the age of 12, decided to run away. While Frankie was well aware of his whereabouts, she feigned ignorance to shield him from being forcibly returned to the oppressive confines of his familial home.
Hunter's exam
At the age of 18, Frankie embarked on the Hunter's Exam accompanied by a partner, coinciding with the entry of Gon, Killua, Kurapika, and Leorio. Their paths intersected during the jogging test and a few other exam stages. However, as Frankie had her own companion, she didn't join their team. In those encounters, Frankie playfully smoothered Killua with her motherly love in front of his friends, often leaving him visibly embarrassed. Despite these interactions, Kurapika and Frankie did not recognize each other.

Frankie was originally supposed to be named Luka.
