As necessary to be an interstellar racer, and a famed one at that, Devil Diver is quick-witted and acutely perceptive. While not much is publicly known about the man behind the helmet, Devil Diver's determination to never utilize underhanded tactics during a race, along with his retained modesty after working his way up to legend status, has framed him practically as a superhero figure among the sport's massive fanbase, though he personally would never accept such a title. Alongside just having a deep enjoyment and attachment to racing, he also has a history of using the prominence he's garnered throughout his racing career to spread universal awareness about certain injustices among the galaxy, and has played a part in aiding to pressure the Galactic Union to act on several cases of ongoing conquest by controversial factions. During interviews, he's revealed to be an avid practicer of martial arts and trains daily to strengthen his athleticism when not racing and out of the camera's view. These hobbies, combined with his extraordinary reflexes and visual accuity, make Devil Diver just as much of a daunting force to be reckoned with in combat as he is in racing.
